Davey looks way too slim, looked much bigger during the WC. I legit thought he was some new outside back until i zoomed into his face haha.

The one of him and Frawley really threw me.

Yh that also got me, has to be some trick going on with the photo haha. He's probably stripped back most of his fat, i mean he's a massive guy but he's never really had weight issues for such a big guy if that makes sense. He will probably add on some more size as pre season goes on.

Im no athlete but doesnt sound like a rediculous number to me... I have several mates posting their runs of up to 10km a day/ 5 days a week on FB .. they arent athletes just guys trying to stay fit..

Just saying

Just over 4km a day - not that big when you break it down

lot of sprint work in the 30k's though
Fucken oath. They're not just running around the track.

Can't remember all the shit we did for pre season training but coat hangers were never very nice. And we had this one were we had to run in a square, and sprint one side recover the next, sprint then recover sprint then recover so on for 7 minutes. We would do that 3 times and spew. I can guarantee you I could have run 10ks around a track and never feel like spewing. I still use that to stay fit now but just use the power poles to sprint and recover.

So 30ks sounds like a shit ton to me lol

Firstly 10ks a day is a lot but when you consider our boys are probably doing approx average of 5-7ks a day plus weights plus ball work/skills plus recovery thats pretty full on and a good sign

Billy Johnstone is back at the club again so id say we will be pretty fit this year. Im pretty sure in 2004 he was our Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Not sure how cowboys could let him go.....

Can anyone confirm is this is true?

They dont train 7 days
This is what AFL players do:

Running 5km interval running in morning.

Running 3km 65%-75% in the arvos.

Monday - Friday.

It's a different game of course, but it's 40km per week compared to 30km

I don't have a sports science degree & I would bet almost all on here don't either, so I would trust the people at the club.

How do you know that’s what an AFL team does?

Hopefully its right anyway, AFL is way more running than NRL, no fatties there
