The Refs already set the tone for the match, Rub of the green was always gonna go to QLD, basically it was theirs to lose.

Pretty much this. The refs seem to already have dictated the outcome of the game. the first penalty for the thaiday knockon set the tone of what was to come.

But lets not mask that for crappy performance by NSW. Merritt, Merrin, Woods and Pearce were definitely the worse for NSW last night. Maloney's defence was soft and Thaiday ran at him all night.

yep when nsw used to win, i remember how silent the crowd went when NSW were dominating.

I can vaguely remember it has been that long.

Each penalty early on was deserved. NSW could not keep up with the speed and tempo that Qld was playing.

It was pretty bad we had two forwards sin binned at a crucial time, QLD had more muscle with the extra two forwards and ran over us even though they had two backs missing during that time period and most of the game really.

NSW need to pick forwards who will defend hard and make meters/work hard, halves who can create something/move us up (Reynolds boys and Carney in the mix) and a big winger to help Josh Morris on his side of the field.
