Not sure, but it would probably get a concessional tax treatment.
Then sit back and take the job at Manly.

This is my thinking too, however, from the feedback received, the theory doesn't appear to stick, but you just never know right?

With yesterday's line up being announced, maintaining the same squad and ridiculously naming Stanley at half again.. maybe there is method in the madness of Des hatching up a plan to try and get out prior to his contracts alleged November deadline.

Has it ever been published or confirmed what his contract figure is? I certainly haven't seen it anywhere? Can anyone confirm?

Not written anywhere but I remember Greenberg saying that we struggled to find a source to pay him when we first signed him. That's how much we're paying him. I doubt he'll go from that to a paycut. $1,000,000 per season easily!
