... I guess it continues. :(

Very disappointed with our start to the first half, ultimately proved to be the deciding factor with a scoreless second half.

Can't be too disheartened, exceeded all my expectations and was a thoroughly enjoying season. Just wasn't meant to be, not a match where you wanted to have an off day.

We'll be back better and stronger from this experience in 2013, heads up folks! :grinning:

We need a decent halfback.. There, I said it. Im sorry but if we are to really drill a side out of a game we need a key man working with the backs at all times. Ennis does he's job organising the forwards but Keating needs to go.

Im shattered as I thought I would be 20 mins into the game. That extra milli second of timing in passing of set plays is so important and we were off today. Storm were just up and in and kept it coming. Alot will be taken out of this game.

The effort was there and I'm proud of the boys so much for a stellar season but some things I feel need to change for next year.

Oh on a quick note **** you refs I hope your all fired from next season!

I'm with ya for the halfback issue.

The forwards didn't fire up, and coincidentally Keating didn't fire up either.

Our attack was poor, most of the time we look like we had no structure at all!

Can't rely on your ball playing forwards too much or this is what happens.

That said, proud of what the boys have achieved. And no hate towards Keating, was a stand in halfback, a solid one indeed.

All in all, they did their homework and shut us down in key areas. There was many times Barba was shut down before he had a chance to create a play or make a break. It didn't help that we copped a few early penalties against us, a few I though were a bit soft, but I guess that's just the roll of the dice with refs these days, but it's not the reason we lost.

We didn't perform well enough today, we seemed a little weak in attack (mainly because Melb did a great job at containing us), but we did very well in defence at most stages IMO.

Now just to sit back and see what happens with Grahams biting allegation, Reynolds throwing a few punches after being provoked by the face palms of Sisa etc.. (other things I probably missed)

We had a great year, can't blame the officials, we need to work on our discipline and I agree we do need desperately a specialised 1/2 to which we have but was out for the season however I am over the moon with what our team achieved in 2012 and I would like to thank the Dog Father Des for the transformation in our club and the team this season.

Roll on 2013, I can't wait!!!! Happy Day's.

Reynolds was horrendous too, our forwards walked and stopped before the line. We had nothing.

They absolutley did their homework and were 100% the better team. Cam Smith is just, unreal.

I'm not blaming the refs here. I know we were off by a great deal in saying that though I'm just sick of us getting pinged for things the opposition does constantly. It's frustrating.

I feel the side need a decent half. Im not attacking KK because he has been a vital cog throughout the season but that is due to our new style of play I feel. If we had a halfback that could just do the little things right consistently and have a running and kicking game, we are in good steed. On plenty of occasions during the year KK has been sensational but I just feel that is only due to our forwards. We need a game controller.

Agree we need a halfback but in saying that the storms were too good. Missed too many chances and dropped too many ball. Dont know why we kept bombing on Wright's side...

What rubbish trying to blame Keating on the loss. You idiot. Tony Archer had the biggest impact on this game. Sure Cronk is a better player than KK but we play differently than any other team mainly through our forwards - our # 7 is lucky to touch the ball twice per set unlike the storm. U may as well compare my weekend BBQ cooking with Jamie Olivers.
Bellamy identified our favourite plays - he sent his defence racing out of the line to nullify us on most occasions. The 8m for storm vs our 12m also helped Storm greatly. So cudos to Belly-ache & Archer.
I am very proud of the boys tonight against a heavy posession count. I can't wait for 2013. Bring it on.

Thanks to all of the boys for a great season and alslo to all of the staff esp. Des.

The Keating issue is a non issue. Keating has been good for us this year whilst we can play the style of footy that we have been. Melbourne shut down our play today because they did their homework on us.

If we had a different style of half they would have shut him down as well. We all know that KK isn't an attacking half in the mould of a Cronk.

Having said that, we need a better attacking kick option to force repeat sets. Cronk killed us with repeat sets.
