We better lock this kid in soon otherwise some other club will sign him up

PATRICK TEMPLEMAN EYES OPPORTUNITIES
Canterbury risk losing Patrick Templeman to North Queensland if they don't lock up the promising No.1 soon.
Fullback is a position the Cowboys are looking to bolster following yet another serious injury to Lachlan Coote. Templeman, off contract at the end of the year, was hoping to get a crack at the custodian spot vacated by Ben Barba after topping the National Youth Competition's point-scoring list with 307 last year.
However, he is yet to get a look-in while Sam Perrett fills the spot. The Cowboys have also expressed interest in Benji Marshall, who may potentially partner Johnathan Thurston in the halves or play at the back.

If he wants to be ruined and not be developed properly like nearly every other player they have brought over for key positions then go ahead lol.

Mate the kid skinny like a rake and crap in defence and he's like 20-21 years old the guy should have patience and just keep getting experience and bulk up and maybe when the guy for once can tackle a guy running full speed then he can put his hand up plus if he is having a sook Tyrone Phillips can have a go at least he don't complain

There is no way he will make the Cowboys first grade team any time soon.

It would be a slaughter.

Some of the up and comers in our team need to look at how we have developed players in the past. They need to be patient and their time will come.

Um ...........

Anyway if he goes to the Cows does he really think he will get a chance?...... Dogs unlikely to release him till end of year anyway and next Year you would expect Lachlan Coote would have first chance at Fullback, considering that was what he was signed for (Unless he doesn't recover).

His best opportunity for a first grade fullback position would be to find a club that doesn't have a specialist fullback impress them so they have no choice but to give him a go. So lets think what team is in that position.........um the Dogs. So maybe he should see if they are interested in him.....Hang on doesn't he already play for the Dogs?

If he leaves it will be for one of two reasons. He realises he is not good enough to play First Grade with the Dogs or two for money. He and Phillips are in the best position to impress Hasler with their work ethic, that is definitely something that Hasler values. The ball is in their court.

let him leave, He has been awful all year in the reserve's. He Cant tackle he cant catch and he cant read play in attack or defence. For anyone that bothered to watch him play will know that his out of his depth even in the reserves.

It cracks me up when people say but he plays crap in reserve grade. Kasiano was one of our worst players in reserve grade this year yet look at how he's played since he's been back in first grade. Players lift when they're motivated that they're in first grade and when surrounded by better players and coaches.

I think for players like kasiano and Inu it would be hard to find motivation in NSW cup but for pat NSW cup is the highest level of football he has played so people expect him to be a shining light there.

The cows may have ideas about using him in a position other than Fb anyway, maybe that's why there interested

Understand the concept, and would support that for a player already been in first grade, as they feel that they don't need to prove anything in reggies. However if Templeman isn't motivated to show what he is capable of when he has gone from U20's to NSW Cup then I think its a little different. With Templeman playing with and against players that have a significant amount of First Grade experience motivation should not be a problem in fact should be the complete opposite for the right player.

Coaching staff wise I had thought that in the pre-season he and Phillips spent a lot of time with the first grade coaching staff and they gave them the opportunity to showcase themselves in the trials.
