Cotric played 93 games for Canberra before joining the Bulldogs at the end of 2020 but he’s endured a tough 12 months at Belmore.
Injuries restricted his season to just 14 games and after a lean run of form, it now looks like his rich $650,000 per-season deal over three years will end prematurely.

The Raiders are expected to sign back Cotric for the 2022 season in the coming days, according to The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio.
“I expect them to formalise it today or tomorrow that will be Bailey Simonsson from the Raiders moving to the Parramatta Eels,” Riccio told SEN.
“That will allow Nick Cotric from the Canterbury Bulldogs to finish his time up there after just twelve months.
“He will be gone, he’s played his last game for the Bulldogs, he’s heading back to Canberra.”
The Bulldogs have been trying to free up salary cap space and Cotric’s departure contract could see them return to the market following a bumper recruiting drive.
