Of course not exclusively. However it’s quite clear that covid is not a risk in this country when very basic precautions are taken.

Lockdowns have been proven in multiple studies to be no more useful than very basic measures that don’t require governments to lock ppl in their homes.

Part of those mask directions in the early days when things were dire with ppe, were affected by the concern that the general public would go nuts, like with tp, and buy up all that was available.

Not sure to what extent they asked the public to not buy (use) many OS, but it was a factor here to preserve for patients and health care practitioners until emergency supplies were procured.

After that I dont recall officials saying don't wear them.

Definitely. All respiratory spread diseases reduce in warmer weather as there's less time inside and more social natural distancing. But Trump said it would go away.

Yep. It was based on a number of factors:

1) limited supply of masks

2) belief that the primary cause of spread was contact/touch

3) research for other similar diseases saying masks weren't that effective due to contact being a major cause of infection

Every organisation and public health official who advised against masks all changed their position after research found that:

A ) the primary cause of infection is respiratory with virtually no contact spread

B ) masks were highly effective against Covid-19 especially when used in conjunction with other methods

But some people don't care for human life so they're still pushing the "masks don't work" crap.

The most ironic part of Biden’s short presidency IMO so far is his unveiling of a bust of Cesar Chavez in his Oval Office.

Chavez was a socialist union figure decades ago who fiercely fought AGAINST illegal immigration.

But one of Biden’s first executive orders is an amnesty on deportations of illegal immigrants in America (which btw means that any illegal immigrants who have committed serious felonies like murder or rape are unable to be deported during the amnesty period).

It also means a huge chunk of Central America is now desperately trying to get into America before the amnesty is over because they know if they make it over the border, they are unlikely to be kicked out.

“I just want patience and prayers that we can get to the U.S. because they [will] have a new president, Biden,” the migrant said. “He’s going to help all of us, he’s giving us 100 days to get to the U.S. and give us [legal] papers, so we can get a better life for our kids, and for our families.”
