What's grinding my gears is the amount of "Coronavirus Porn" out there (no, not the pornhub type), especially on Linkedin. Every law firm and the like want to tell us about Covid19 and how they can help etc. Then there are the emails from random businesses who I might heave dealt with 3 years ago and now need to tell me about how their business is continuing through the crisis.
Fuck hoarding. This is what the PM should be talking about. Just stop it.
Am I the only one over everyone trying to out Corona each other?
I thought this article was apt from Junkee:
Every Company In The World Is Sending Coronavirus Emails And People Are Baffled
by

There’s no doubt that COVID-19 coronavirus is a very serious thing.
With almost 200,000
confirmed cases across the globe, it’s no surprise that people are doing all they can to slow the spread of the virus — from
washing their hands for longer periods of time to partaking in the
recommended bouts of self-isolation.
But what a lot of people are now noticing is an influx of emails from businesses sharing their exact plans of what they’re doing in a time of pandemic.

absolutely no one:

Now, I don’t know about you but I do not remember giving my email address to so many random companies. Yet, almost like clockwork, people were flooded with a whole bunch of random emails from restaurants, clothing sites, and car companies assuring their customers that everything was OK. Because there’s truly nothing more calming that 50 businesses you forgot about mass emailing you to stress that absolutely nothing is wrong.
Not even the rich and famous could avoid the dreaded “how we’re taking precautions for coronavirus” corporate email landing in their inboxes. Singer Kacey Musgraves tweeted about the strange phenomenon earlier today proving that none of us are safe from knowing how clean different businesses intend to keep their shop floors from this day forth.

The strangest part is there’s really no rules for the corporate corona email update — any business qualifies! You don’t need to be food establishment or a make-up counter, the possibilities are truly endless.
Like, do you remember that one time you went on a back-lot studio tour in LA? You bet you have an email on Universal Studios Hollywood’s next steps sitting in your inbox. Oh, and don’t forget that time you booked a one-night stay through Hotels.com back in 2013. Yep, they’re letting you know what their plans are too. Haha, silly you! Of course that random two-star restaurant in rural Western Australia wants you to know that they’re taking extra measures to keep customers safe too.

Unfortunately for all these companies who think they’re doing amazing work, these “send to entire database” emails have simply reminded people they need to unsubscribe from a heap of businesses. But, hey. At least they’ve given us something funny to bond over until COVID-19 passes over.

I'm getting so many emails from companies I haven't shopped with in 15+ years explaining how they're cleaning and planning to deal with coronavirus.
Waiting to hear how Blockbuster, Circuit City, and Toys R Us are all sanitizing their stores by the end of the night.

I understand this is serious but I probably don’t need an email from every company I’ve ever bought anything from in my entire life.
