Hey over it guys, it’s a business as well as a game.

Anyone else here in his shoes would do exactly the same thing in a heartbeat.

All that loyalty, family club bullshit goes out the window when the $$$ come out.
Sorry but the point that is being missed this guy still has two years left on his contract why are we releasing him. I thought the NRL had anti tampering laws? Seriously our admin is dumb for granting a release, in whose best interest?
100% correct....he has a fukin 2 year contract....sick of all this shit....our club is too soft

Why would I be a pharoh?

I am not asking any one to do slave labor for me and build tall incredible structures for me.

Only thing Klemmer has done wrong here is walking out mid contract. He is more than entitle to look after himself and his family, just as you are and you would look after your self and your family which comes above any game, club, sports etc.
Lol his done nothing wrong but break a contract...just lol

As a father growing up with young kids, you should be teaching them the right morales in life. Morales like respect, like honesty, and like being a man and keeping to your word.

If your kids honestly mean the world to you, then as a good father no money should come in the way of teaching them the important morales in life.
Man wtf are you on about lmao you are legit clutching at some make believe straws here, his kids aren't going to be bad people because he changed where he works for more money... If my kids had the chance to go work for a competitor doing the same thing they specialise in but for more I'd tell them go as money doesn't grow on trees. Nothing is free in life so take what you can because most people won't help you when you are broke and needing to feed yourself these days especially the way Sydney is heading...

Also you gotta realise most of these dumb **** footy players need all the money they can get before they retire because most are legit useless once they stop playing with bad/broken bodies or brain damage, most of them are only good at laboring jobs to begin with because they already have brain damage, didn't bother with school and doing the hard hours studying or already have such a low brain capacity to earn the big dollars with a high end job needing an education or high education. Not having a dig at any laborers just the footy players who dedicate all this time and sometimes end up with nothing being dreamers lmao, lifes tough and do things that actually matter or workout for you.

Plus contracts don't mean shit... Doesn't matter if you sign anything as you can do as you please, just because our laws say so, does that mean you are wrong and can't move on? Don't think like a white person lmao

Do you think JT or any of those guys would have millions of dollars or be earning more money than a doctor/surgeon or engineer if the NRL didn't exist?

Kennel Logic:
"We should get Mitchell Moses"
*5 games into his Bulldogs career*
"Fuck Mitchell Moses, he's a shitcunt... fucking hopeless... worse than Lichaa... can't wait till this **** is gone!!... WHY DID WE SIGN HIM FFS!!!!"

Seriously... when Parra doesn't want you, you don't move to another club, you retire.

But dude, skipping out mid contract? That's like a new mother up and leaving in the middle of a breast feed. :P

he is not breaking the contract... THE CLUB HAS GIVEN HIM PERMISSION TO TEST THE MARKET AND ALSO WILL RELEASE HIM

Club has to make the final call if he stays or goes, how hard is it to understand?

He's gone and just another opposition player now the thing I care about is what we do with his cap money.

A bit premature maybe. It is all still based on media speculation. Might be quicker to rename Bulldogs discussion " rumours" currently lol.

I want to hear from Klemmer. I want him fronting the media and answering
the curly questions coming his way.

If he wants to instigate this, he needs to step-up and own this.

The fans are the ones whom he needs to speak to, give us an explanation as to why.

That’s what I would like to see.

I wish he went to Manly. Imagine when they play us at Homebush and we could really give it to both Klem and Des

Hey Klem,

Just a quick note in case you happen to read this forum. You seemed like such a passionate Bulldog. You spoke to the media about how you grew up with Bulldogs bedsheets, how you were the ultimate fan....if there's any truth at all to these romanticised stories, how can you even think of doing this to your fans during such a time?

You could play a major role in rebuilding this great club. You have the opportunity to go down as a true legend of the club you supported as a kid. Instead it appears you are intent on going down as just another jerk who sold out your childhood dreams to the highest bidder. Bulldogs fans have a hard enough time with the media and game's administration dumping on the club without supposedly passionate players doing it. This club is so much greater than the Newcastle Knights....has a prouder and much longer history and a much greater record of success. So many legends have played for this club. Legends who understood and loved the club's culture. You could be one of them. Why would you throw that away in pursuit of a quick buck?

Is that kid who slept with Bulldogs bedsheets still inside you somewhere? Does a part of you still love this club? If so, I'd suggest you sack your dodgy manager and focus on reconnecting with what is really important. Too many people have thrown away the pure, straightforward and honest ideals of youth in favour of the more shallow and less spiritually fulfilling adult pastime of dollar chasing. Don't become one of those jerks. Money won't bring you happiness and you can't take it with you when you leave this earth. Better to leave a legacy than to accumulate wealth you can't take with you. We really wanted to believe you were a throwback. A true, tough as nuts Bulldog who genuinely loved this club.

Let's be honest, financially, you're doing ok. The club has looked after you, the fans love you...or did. So, is that kid who loved the bulldogs still inside you? Can that pure love you had for this club still be preserved? We are going through a very tough time as a club and need strong people to dig us out of it. Those who do so will rightly become legends.....but they do need to be strong, so if that doesn't sound like you, don't let the door hit your arse on the way out.

Yours sincerely,

A disappointed and jaded fan
A true reflection of how we are all feeling, well done mate!

Don’t know about Klem but if I was forced into a situation where my wife was calling these kind of shots then I would have done something pretty serious. Just saying.....
What like growing some balls or something ??

I applaud your passion UH, but at the same time, if Newcastle want to pay premiership-winning halfback money to a prop, they can have him.

Everyone is quick to talk about money and how it’s a no brainer but many forget that we made him the richest player yet to play a first grade game not to long ago and then made him the highest paid forward in the game when he signed his next contract. How about he repays that faith we put in him when everyone we said were crazy to offer a guy who hadn’t played a single game $300,000 at the time when the cap was 2 million less than it is now!

I know that since he has signed his last contract there been a few forwards who signed bigger contracts but Klemmer would’ve been in line to sign a bigger contract in 2 years, he would’ve been 26 and I’m sure our next contract offer would’ve been a long term deal to make sure he is a Bulldog for life and set him up for life but now he will piss of to the Knights and as soon as he begins to decline they will sack him off and not think twice about it because they don’t have and will not ever have the same connection we had with him.
I know exactly what your saying.
When Mason was one of our highest paid players, he had a hissy fit with Folkes (RIP) and the club and ditched us for the roosters. That didn't last long. He ended up becoming a journey man and no doubt his value started dropping.
He would of earned far more with us, gained a lot of respect and turned into a bulldogs legend one club career player. Although he still got his life membership with us, but he would of been spoken of in the same breath as El Masri, Bobcat, Mortimer and Lamb. Short term gain for long term loss!

If he were off contract, I'd agree....but fuck him for trying to get out of the contract he negotiated and fuck Newcastle for breaching anti tampering guidelines....oh and also, fuck the NRL for not enforcing them.

He's contracted. i think he should go nowhere until we find a use for his contract money.
