Just saw on fox 513 an interview from this morning, what has happened at the Sharks is just a blueprint for what will happen for several other clubs in the NRL and AFL over the next month or two
This ASADA lot should be going at all the clubs in one hit, but they went for Cronulla first up and I think that was planned. They knew Cronulla would bottle and thats exactly what they done. Dont think Bennett will be as easy.

Above the law; beyond reproach.

I am reading through the ASADA Act 2006 ::

Part 9 - Other Matters

78 Protection from civil actions
(1) Each of the following:
(a) the CEO;
(b) a member of the ASADA staff;
(c) an individual whose services are made available to the CEO under section 24M;
(d) an individual appointed as a chaperone, or as a drug testing official, under the NAD scheme;
is not liable to an action or other proceeding for damages for or in relation to an act done or omitted to be done in good faith:
(e) in the performance or purported performance of any function of the CEO; or
(f) in the exercise or purported exercise of any power of the CEO.

etc etc for each of their subcommittees.

They have the power to cripple each club and the sport.

It's getting worst for the sharkies, injecting horse drugs, sacking a sponsor for illegal salary cap payments and still ASADA on their backs. Players to be suspended, other clubs to follow!!

this could get even worse, as the alledged horse drug must have come from a registered vet, as its not an over the counter medication for horses.

Hearing Irvine will quit tomorrow or at least this week
Very, VERY much doubt it. Irvine to the Sharks, is like Greenberg is to the Dogs.

If Irvine gets shafted or leaves, Sharks are gone.. completely.

In an interview with Phil Rothfield he indicated he's going nowhere.

With all honesty though, it was good for rugby league to see them get up today.
and doing that lap for their fans was great....
its the closest to a lap of honour they will ever see,

none the less well done sharkies..

Cronulla's offer to 14 players, made on Tuesday, includes:

AN automatic one-year extension on their current contracts to compensate sitting out this season. The value of the extension would also reflect future increases in the salary cap;

AUTOMATIC remuneration of any representative payments or bonuses earned in 2012, based on the assumption those players would achieve the same honours this year;

FULL pay while suspended; and

A WAIVING of all rights to sue the club and its board.
