Whatever team we start with. I just hope that CC makes any adjustments when/if required. Hopefully he has learnt from his glacial speed he set last season with the likes of Perham.
I doubt it. He is pick and stick.

Has anyone seen him play in the halves? Just wondering how he'd go if Sexton or Hutch don't work out. Seems like he's too skillful to be a winger. See some similarities with him and shifty who also spent time on the wing and FB.
The interesting thing is on the Bulldogs team page they have Tracy as a halfback. In fact out of the 15 backs 9 of them being Taaffe, Biondi-Odo, Hutchinson, Burton and Sexton are halves and Perham, Salmon and Oloapu are 5/8. So 9 of our 15 backs are pivots which seems extreme compared to previous years where we were lucky to have 2.

I actually think Tracy would make a good half. When he first came on the scene I think that was his position before he bulked up a bit and became more a ultility. But you can tell he has the ball skills, kicking game and good defence to be a good half perhaps similar to like you said shifty or Aiden Sezer.

It looks like Tracy played his junior footy at halfback and didn't look too bad.

But I think Sexton potentially is a specialist halfback as he's a bit smaller and lighter on his feet and seems to have pretty good reaction times and some unpredictability. Tracy may be a bit to similar to Burtons style which may not compliment. But isn't it great to have choices at half including Hutchinson and Taaffe. Not to forget Oloapu as well who we did buy as a half and Mitchell Woods who is in the haves development program.

I for one am excited to see him in Bulldogs colours, be it at fullback, wing or centre!

They haven’t played a single trial or NRL game and the knives are out! Calm down peeps, he’ll be gun!

Seeing those highlights, he reminds me a bit of Lance Hohaia.

Man I'd love it if Tracy has half Hohaia talent. But he does play a bit similar with attacking the line and having a kick and side step. He's also pretty fast off the line through a gap and has some strength. You never know thats probably his position though he did pretty good at fullback or where ever he plays. He is always creating something and probably would be a bit wasted in the centres.

But I think they will persist with Sexton as I think he is the only specialist half out of all our halves and has played there all along and probably has the most potential as a halfback. He did rep the junior Maroons as halback from memory.

I think between Tracy, Hutchinson. Sexton and Taaffe we have a good chance of finding the right half for our style, maybe even a couple so we can mix it up. To be able to change the team around where we can put halves in the centre and fullback and visa versa we could turn the momentum of a game on its head.

I'd have liked to see more of his kicking game before unleashing him as a 7. Running game looks good. But it is a highlight reel, so those moments aren't happening 42 times in three minutes on game day.

I'm sure he'll go well when he gets a shot. Given that he's not long been running I wonder if it will be round one.

He outplayed Talakai at centre last season who Fittler selected for Origin #SpaceCadet

He also did a job at fullback when Kennedy got injured.

Just looking at his career he made his debut for Souths in 2019 at the age of 23 which seems a little late and then he only played 2 games. So most of those highlights are from playing in the NSW cup or below. He then signed with the Sharks in 2020 and then only played 60 odd games in 4 years. So he has never secured a permanent top grade position.

He obviously had Reynolds and Walker in his way at Souths and then Johnson, Townsend and Hynes to contend with. His verseatility may have also meant he played utility or didn't make the first team.

But looking at his NSW cup appearences in 2020 for example when he was still known as a half it looks like he had pretty good stats as a half.

So maybe circumstances just havn't allowed Tracy to consolidate the halfback position. He has never been allowed to hold down half or any position for that matter as a regular first grader.

By the looks of it halfback is Tracy's best position. We know that our utility signings have expressed the desire to establish themselves in their favoured position in the top grade. I would say if Tracy ever gets the chance at half he will be hoping to keep that position so will give it his best. But so will Hutch and Sexton so its going to be a great competition for halfback which is a big difference to how we lacked much competition for that position in the past.

He Looks like a genuine fullback to me. I didn't watch much of him though so not sure what his defense is like. The highlights usually only show the attack and only the best bits. I dare say CC and Gus would have sussed that out though.
