Cheating. Does everyone in the NRL from the hierarchy down to the players know it is happening?

One thing that should be mentioned is that it is quite common (possibly universal) that players, as per contract, are not allowed to divulge or discuss salaries with fellow colleagues. If they do, it can lead to termination. So, without knowing everyone's salaries, let alone tiered contract salaries (e.g. 200K this year, 375K next year and 280K the year after) of 24 other blokes, I also feel sorry for the players. On the other hand, club is fucked.

I know certain clubs employ family members of the player on ridiculous salaries.

Yeah like football players wives back in the 80's were usually employed to get blind drunk at the leagues club.
