I know it's Canterbury Cup but the discipline in this team is terrible, they got away with it last year but now that they are the hunted, teams are going to make them pay

Meaney not playing like someone who has been mentioned as moving into the FG team, he was barely sighted today.

Martin 2 tries, 3/4 goals...didn't beat down the door...but would Elliott, Faulalo, Tolman, RFM do as well out there for the Dogs today....answer honestly.

Saddler, Wakeham and Nu Brown can't come back soon enough.
saddler is not even Sydney shield quality - was on the bench for Moorebank I think yesterday.

he was sighted - failing to compete for the ball, missing tackles and not running with any determnation

Olive was unlucky not to get a penalty on Lesuliou first try, wentworthville centre clearly pushed him off the ball

I doubt it but Martin 2 missed tackles led to tries so what’s the better mix?

Martin wasn't solely responsible for those tries and Jacko himself missed tackles, drop him?...your point?...Martin offers more to the team than at least 4 others. Time for the club to insist on picking the best 17 if Pay can't see it.

Disappointing loss. I only saw the last 5 mins though. Did anyone step up? Do any of them warrant fg selection? Did Ogden and Smith play?
We were fucking crap (putting it politely) and would have lost to last weeks first grade side).

Couldn't hold the ball, pushed stupid passes, forgot how to tackle. We just got outmuscled and rolled up the middle and out on the edges.

THE BAD
Meaney may as well not have been there. Only thing he did was fuck things up and drop simple catches and tackles.
Cogger did one good kick for a Katoa try and then went missing for 65 minutes.
Harper has gone backwards and is struggling.
Olive with his normal defensive fuckup cost us a try (yet had a better game than last week).

THE GOOD
Ogden was good.
Martin was swapped to hooker for last 25 minutes and Marschke hooked. Good stats though.

Where's Renouf To'omaga?
Injured. Hamstring issue iirc. A few weeks away.

THE GOOD
Ogden did one friggin mad run.. and Martin was swapped to hooker for last 20 minutes and Marschke hooked.

To be fair, Cogger was screaming for the ball on many occasions but the player with the ball would either fuck up, or play to the opposite side.

Ok only watched bits and pieces of the 1st half and the entire 2nd half but a few things of note:

Cogger; poor game management in hot conditions not even trying to find touch when we were gassed for alot of that 2nd half. Also should have been looking to organise a spread to the wings when Wenty was compressed in defence some of the many times we were coming off our try line.
Also seen a few times where he thought it would be better to let his team mates make the tackle, refused to get involved or got out of the way all together.

Martin needs to sharpen up his one on one defence if he is to feature regularly in 1st grade despite having a knack of creating opportunities or getting positive results by deviating from the coaches rubbish gameplan, If there was even a gameplan.

Meaney is either missing in action all together in attack and lacked the desire and urgency to impose his will on the game when he did end up with the ball.
I thought kick returns were supposed to be his strong point. Looked uninterested today.

Ogden is a powerhouse and a workhorse. Where the fuck was he for the majority of the 2nd half? Hopefully being rested for a 1st grade recall next week.

Ditto Chris Smith.

Taulua has regressed massively under the new coaching staff and a stint in ESL beckons.

Edge defence continues to make decisions for the opposition, shows a lack of of progress in that regard.

The back 5 are taking no pressure off the forwards when they are needed to take hit-ups.

The forwards running one out with no decoys or no players sniffing for an offload.

All in all there is atleast alot of room for improvement and considering we only lost by 2 points that is a positive. But boy oh boy do we make it look east for the opposition.
