We play our biggest enemy in the Eels in Round 1 which is a blockbuster game for me no matter what round and what form the 2 teams have.

Being round 1 means anything can happen and it's great that this game will sell out at least 1 week before it gets a played.

Finally it's great the NRL has realised these 2 teams can give it it's greatest financial return.

This fixture should be hands down locked in as first round for years to come. Only debate is whether it should be at Accor or Allianz as it will often sell out at CommBank and cost the NRL money.

Am I imagining things or have the Sharks had an easy draw in the last few years?

Having an easy or hard one means shit because if we are going to win it’s only going to come with effort and not who we play.

We have thrown games easily in the past and that needs to change no matter who we play first.

Want better game times, we need to earn it.

Its just a draw. It could be worse. Pretty middling draw imo. Whats more important is how we play. We need to improve enough to be a hard game to others. Most games are hard games when you finish down the ladder. Conversely Penrith have no hard games. They are everyone's hardest game

NRL is ~200 games each season.
Anything larger adds more and more complexity.
NFL is ~270 and the NBA a whopping ~1200 games. There’s so many inputs and always some grievances but as usual there’s no evidence of anything dodgy.

We cant play more rounds, the heat each end of the season makes it hard to make it earlier start or later finish. Also players cant play more rounds than now, its a hard game physically. The NRLs idea is to add more teams to get more games over the same amount of rounds we have now or close. Only way they can get more games. They need 18 teams so they actually play more games every week. Not sure why they went for 17 with a break until the 18th comes, all it does is screw around with supercoach having byes every week lol.

NBA can play all year coz its indoors. And its less physically taxing. Teams play pretty much all year and multiple times a week.
