Canberra target *Tigers fullback Tedesco

After losing sensation Anthony Milford to Brisbane, *Canberra have now targeted exciting Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco.

And if the Raiders miss Tedesco, The Daily Telegraph can reveal the club will focus on rising Manly fullback Clint Gutherson.

Tedesco is off contract with Wests Tigers after this season and is looking for a contract worth about $500,000 a season.

The Raiders have officially made contact with Tedesco’s manager Sam Ayoub.

Surely the Sharks are the ABSOLUTE DEFINITION of where not to sign at the moment!?
Realistically, the only reason we know there still will be a Sharks club in three years is because the NRL won't let it fold.
Apparently they have already spent a really serious chunk of that money they were getting from that property development they are involved in, now ASADA look like they are going to issue infringement notices to 17 Sharks, 5 of which are still there. The coach is banned and overseas and just for the cherry on top they have never won a single thing ever in the NRL. I once had a debate with a Sharkies fan who pointed out they wona pre-season comp back in the 80's I think it was. That's the level of desperation out there.

I don't see a way out for the Raiders at the moment. Even their usually good junior sides are performing shit at the moment.

Their only way out may be to buy experience players with winning cultures and build whatever they have left of their juniors around them. A player like Ennis would be perfect for them.

They have lost some decent players over the years: Ferguson, Dugan, Carney, Vidot, etc just to name a few.

Yeah they have and usually for the same reasons (alcohol and discipline) so I think they need to sort out this trend before it affects another star for them
