Getting some more wins on the board should help his decision.
Him having more than 3 try involvements would also help make a decision...talk of 700k just seems absolutely ridiculous lol.

Wasn't the fact that Uncle Arthur promised him a career after footy a deciding factor in him signing with us in the first place? I don't think things have, or will change in this regard. Why would he leave?

You honestly think his decision will just be about money...the question will be undoubtedly whether he sees our club as the best place to be for his development and success.....
He left the best team in the comp partly for more money

True but that's what you have to pay these days for a spine player. You don't just pay for what he's done in the past, you also pay for what you hope/expect he will deliver in the future.

Lots of comments but no talk of a figure. What's he worth?

Yes and look how well that worked out for the Knights. He's already earning more than he's worth and more than any other club was prepared to offer him, any sort of upgrade on current form is ridiculous. I'd rather him negotiate with other clubs even if it costs us extra to retain him down the track, we can't afford to take a gamble in a key position again and get things wrong.

Luai and Cody Walker are both on about $700k per media reports. They are both better players at this stage than Burto.

Gus will pay him what he is worth. If a club wants to throw silly money at him there is nothing you can do about it.

He is an out and out five eighth. Anyone thinking he is a top level halfback like Cleary who can manage a game is delusional.

Put it this way. The best five eighth in the comp is Munster. He is a $1 million player. After that it probably goes Luai, Walker, Wighton and maybe Dylan Brown who was great this year until he was inexplicably moved to the centres.

The answer is a pineapple. Maybe $650k
