Official Bulldogs vs Tigers - Sunday 5:30pm

The stand out today was Todd. He has the ability to do it all in the forwards. Solid defence, tough runs, skill before the line, nice decoy runner, excellent footwork. I can understand why Gus said that if not for the broken arms last year that he would have already had a few first grade matches already. I can see him being our long term loose forward.

Hughes is obviously the incumbent. DSF looked really solid - strong hit ups and nice post contact. May have a bigger motor than Hughes to be honest. I personally didn't think Amone did too badly. He was gased at some points in the second half. First half he put some nice pressure from marker and turned the player nicely on their back. Underhill will be really good in 2-3 years, big body, good drive with the leg. Morrin did a morrin performance last night. Had one mistake as per usual, but once he got that out of his system, he just ran hard and tackled hard. Salmon seemed to captained the side well today and may be that steadying ship. Hayes played well with some great offloads promoting second phase plays.

That being said I see the one of the prop position and bench as being a battle between - Hughes, Sitilli, Curran, Hayward, Salmon, DSF, Todd, Hayes, Morrin and Amone. Have to fit 10 into 5 will be CC's decision. Glad to have that depth especially with Leo Thompson still to come.
I See Isaia Yeo in Todd

DSF 40 tackles 0 missed
Todd 143m, 8 TB, 2lb, 25 tackles
He looked 100% better than the last run I saw him have in reggies. If he was a horse, I'd say he has stripped fitter and is primed for something good

Patience is not ur forte.

Who knows, Todd and DSF might rip the Broncs starting 17 apart and make it impossible not to choose him and Hayward could cop an injury which means CC will have to evaluate.

Might get ur wish early my friend.
We have games of football to win and a nice block of 5 games to start the season followed by a bye. We need to be aggressive and attack it and not be passive with this safety first approach.

1. Tracey
2. Kiraz
3. Xerri
4. Crichton
5. Wilson
6. Burton
7. Sexton
8. King
9. Mahoney
10. Hughes
11. Kikau
12. Preston
13. Mann

14. Tia
15. Tupounuia
16. Curran
17. Todd

God I hope Sitili and Curran aren't part of the prop rotation, neither should be playing there. But I could well see it happening simply due to the experience factor, and both have shown they can play in complex defensive systems.

The starting pack and 2 bench spots are easy to pick.

Its the last 2 bench spots up for grabs.

King, Hughes, Kiks, Preston, Curran/mann probs Mann.

Bench
Sitilli
Curran/Mann Probs Curran

Leaves 2 spots

Totally agree. But I forgot Hayward as well...Next weeks team list will give us some more clues to what is going through CC's mind.

Probably right.

But if youre just going off this game he was a very far distant 3rd. Todd and DSF were MILES ahead.

Not including hughes.
I agree but just saying Zyon offers something the others don't.. raw aggression.. that's very important in the NRL. he's only 21.. Leota and Fisher Harris have that intimidation factor.. pretty sure at 20-21 JFH was good but got hid mojo 2 or 3 years in . Zyon has it now

He could, but hes not goong to.

Maybe and its a big maybe he'll drop 2.

Its 100 percent going to be out of this combo LOL

Lock in Sitilli and Curran

Then its either Haywood OR Slamon
with Morrin OR Todd
Sadly , I believe you're probably right.
my bench (long term) is Tia, Curran, Tupounuia, Todd (apologies to Harry Hayes - whom I love!!!)

Tia could be our 14. I don't believe it would be a fruitful experience battling Sexton against Tia for now. No good would come from that. A settled spine for the year is required unless Sexton absolutely bombs in the first half of the season. That would mean that Tia would need to battle Hayward for that utility role that could cover the halves and hooker.

Having said that, Tia could go down as having one of the best/worst haircuts I have ever seen. He has an extra short fringe, mullet and a rats tail coming from the mullet.
