THE struggling Bulldogs were a sponsors nightmare at the start of the year. Now they have completed a massive turnaround by re-signing their major backer for three years.

We can reveal the Bulldogs have extended their deal with Jaycar.

More to come.

Great news if true. Great to have a sponsor secured. And on a petty side, as mentioned, it goes well on our jersey.

NRL will reject it. On the grounds of the bulldogs can not have a sponsor for 2 consecutive contract periods :p

It also shows the contrast between the two clubs in that our piece of good news is a new major sponsor for the WHOLE club, whereas theirs is the signing of Jarryd Hayne their STAR player.

Although he is a great player and it is a great perk, it just reminds me so much of our sonny bill style reliance. It is not good for a team to have soo much resting on the shoulders of one... too high risk

Great work by Todd & everyone at the club that has worked so hard to clean up our image. it has paid off, and thank you Jaycar for having faith in our club, and we hope we can repay that faith with maximum exposure for your brand in big games for the years to come, and for the right reasons also.

A YEAR ago they were so damaged they couldn’t give away their brand.

Now the Bulldogs have secured a multi-million dollar deal with electronics retailer Jaycar for the another three years to cap one of sport’s great redemptions.

Coming on the eve of the club’s blockbuster showdown with the Eels, the deal is a vote of confidence for the team’s new direction under CEO Todd Greenberg.

The electronics retailer will today announce details of the new deal that will see them partner up with the club until at least the end of 2012.

After a series of off-field incidents and winning the wooden spoon, the Bulldogs found themselves without a major sponsor until Jaycar signed with the club mid-year.

While without a major sponsor, the club used their vacant jersey space to promote cancer charity Camp Quality.
