Why on earth did we not sign Zac Hoskings. Standing nearly two meters tall with great work ethic the raiders have done well with this lad. Easily adapt as a middle. Father David Hoskings a former player and living legend who went by the name of mule. We could have done with some extra legs.
Hoskings is 120 mm short of 2 metres and is a lighweight at 97kgs, plus he's a 2nd rower/centre neither of which we need.

Hosking and Mooney play different positions. More likely that Mooney takes Saulo's spot.
Mooney can play both front and 2nd row.
Saulo only played 7 games last year himself. Ricky's prefence will be (based on selections last year)
Pappali and Tapine starting front row.
2nd Row will be Elliot Whitehead and Hudson Young
Lock will be Corey Horsburgh
Bench:
Emre Guler
Ata Moriata
Zac Hosking
Morgan Smithies

There's no utility there so 1 player will miss out.
They still have CHN who when Ricky Stuart said he was going to medically retire CHN said no way.
So once CHN comes back thats 2 injuries before he even gets a start off the bench.
There is also the issue of Hohepa Puru, apparently the talk is Ricky Stuart see him as their long-term lock. So where does that leave Mooney?

If he's that good, he'll force his way into the side over the likes of Hosking and Guler. He certainly will be picked over CHN, who will be bottom of the pecking order now IMO. Mooney's off contract after this year anyway, so we'll see where he thinks his best destination is for 25.

He would be above Moriata at least you would think. Also is big red suspended for the first few games? If CHN plays again probs not for Canberra after Ricky trying to retire him. So there will a bench spot open for him you would think for first few weeks at least till Corey comes back.

CHN is unknown but if CHN doesn't want to go anywhere- Ricky cannot force him.
Moriata seems to be ahead of Mooney. Moriata played 16 games last year compared to Mooney's 6. That includes Moriata missing between rounds 3 and 10 with a broken hand. He also started 4 times and appeared to be Ricky's go to when Pappali was injured.

St George are open for trading. There must be a middle on their books that would be worth looking into.

I don't think Saints are in a position to be trading anyone. Their pack is worse than ours.. Canberra makes more sense as they have a lot of good young forwards with no chance at minutes and they need halves and backs badly..

100%.
Outside of Jayden Sua and JDB, their backrow is pretty lame & lacks depth.

Leaving the gun Hohepa Puru out. He should be there lock imo. Bench big Papa, start Rapine and Horse up front.
