So we are still after a specialist fullback, Des really wants our team to be complete if all the other stuff is true aswell. If all is true next year is going to be big in terms of players, if we can the finals again this year it will become a habit I reckon.

Ok so where i think we are getting the money is.

1. We have allowed a lot of players to leave in the last year. Many probably on overs from when our team was desperate for talent. 1 premature retirement plus a sacking and player release included.
2. Maitua is getting part of his salary paid by Parra. So he'd probably be costing us very little from the cap meaning we are probably paying him fringe NRL wages from our salary cap.
3. With free money this year we could be arranging to front load a lot of players for this season. Which in turn will mean we could front load others next year or make some big signings based on being able to front load them next year.
4. Most of our recruits were juniors who are at an age where they'll be ready within a season or so after some grooming.
5. Cap increases over the next few years will mean that more money becomes available if we have front loaded many contracts to allow us to keep juniors.

I still worry that If Fifita is signed it may mean Graham will go elsewhere but Fifita is a fine replacement if that eventuates. It would be nice with both on the roster though.

I do actually worry about Kas being able to keep his weight down this season. Without the captains stopping play to speak to refs the game has gotten a LOT faster. Many of the big forwards in the game who made 3 spectacular runs then needed a breather will be exposed if they don't adjust. It will be interesting to see if some clubs opt for smaller mobile packs as the season progresses. This may wind up being a great season for the little blokes of the game.
