13. BULLDOGS

Last week’s rank: 15th (up two spots)

Analysis: Given the injury crisis that has engulfed the club, the Bulldogs’ 18-16 victory over the Dragons is up there with their best and most important wins under Cameron Ciraldo, with Jake Averillo starring with two scintillating tries.

There are signs Matt Burton could potentially become an excellent halfback in the mould of Nicho Hynes at the Sharks and young gun Karl Oloapu was impressive on debut off the bench.

If the Bulldogs can beat the Raiders, Warriors and Titans before the bye, the finals might be a realistic goal once they get some much needed troops back on deck.

I wouldn't take notice of the opinions of the so called professionals, what the Bulldogs have achieved considering the injuries and the continued bad referees calls is absolutely amazing...
That alone proves that they know nothing and all they do is pretend they do.

The so called "professionals" on Nine and Fox still picked St George to win at half time last weekend even though we had bombed 3 tries by then.

Maybe they guessed going on previous games, that we’d have a player wrongly sin binned again and that would be enough to get St Merge home …

But seriously Saints should have won Anzac Day game, they scored more try’s than Roosters … most games they’ve lost have simply come down to goal kicking.

So to be fair I can see why they still thought Saints were a chance.

That's a lot of "ifs". We might lose Burton to SOO.

They still had no goal kicker and we were kicking their asses all over the field, should have scored 20 by half time.

Saints have dropped Lomax for this week, because of his poor goal kicking. If Lomax wasn't in the team on Sunday, we'd have won by more.
No intercept, and no sin bin.

Confusing part is Lomax has only been kicking goals at 60%, 9 games in why didn’t they swap him out, surely there’s someone else that can kick … crazy … but I’m happy they stuck with him.
