Mate so is pretty much 90% of other sports in the world. Women are part of the rugby league community starting from the moms who drive their kids to play on the weekend, to the management and right down to some of the most hardcore fans.

And it’s increasing popularity year on year. I love watching them play, no wrestling, good hits and attacking footy. Looking forward to seeing them in blue and white creating their own legacy and history like the blokes have done.

The NRL is expected to offer two new NRLW licenses, possibly from 2025.

The Warriors, who held a license but returned it during Covid, are almost certain to be reinstated, leaving Canterbury, Souths and Penrith vying for the second franchise.

Souths are the NRL darlings, and Penrith have an emerging following.

I highly doubt we are getting a license before 2028.

Why don't they just bite the bullet and bring in 4 new NRLW clubs immediately, or any club that wants in?

Seems idiotic to limit the sport.

If the NRLol are choosing one of Souths, Penrith and Bulldogs, let's just say best not to have high expectations before 2028.

I also don't know why the NRL have pumped so much money into the WNRL and still only have so few teams.. Especially when clubs like ours are ready and keen to have a team. They should be adding more than 2 teams..

Junior girls talent isn’t there just yet. Only a few comps have this year added a 12’s, 14’s, 16’s and 18’s tackle comp for the first time.
Lisa Fioala cup (under17 rep) only had 5 teams in it. Comp ran for 4 weeks. It will take time to get them ready for 17 or 18 NRLW team comp. Talent is just not there at the moment
