Mate if it was me... I would have killed myself for such a pathetic effort!
Lol, you think he would of taken time off working the phones at Vodafone and practiced a few kicks.

...I bet he would have spent the entire last month having a feast every night with all the villagers who were looking for a share of his future dollars.

Or may be they just picked the worst kicker from the village to give him a go.... absolute joke!

Was it even legit or was it just a publicity stunt

Wondering that myself.

He kicked the ball as if it was a soccer kick. It just bounced along the ground. Won a motorcycle as a consolation. Don't know if he can afford the freight to ship it home.

The kick was absolutely terrible. I felt so sorry for him. Then they give him another shot from further away? Fmd.

Then they give him a motorcycle? Wtf is he going to do with that?

I hope he doesn't have to kick start the bike.

lol yeah I felt so sorry for the bloke... and the pressure of 15,000+ people looking at you... chances of him making that kick from 40m out, was more than 1 in a million.

But the real kicker (pardon the pun) was giving him a motorbike.

My reaction next to my wife went as such:
Announcers: Bad luck <name> but you've won a Triumph bike from Bikebiz
*brrrrrrrr out comes the bike and it's not small, it's a rather big cruiser* .. nice bike but hardly fitting alongside the vespas in the back streets of Mumbai with 4000000000 other vehicles.
Me: What the hell ... are you serious *long pause* deadset *pause* did they just give that bloke a bike
Wife: *laughing her arse off* uhhh yeah
Me: and what exactly is he meant to do with that. Why not give the bloke $20,000 to take home and $10000 to spend on a holiday around Australia instead? *dumbfounded*
Wife: That would have been a sensible idea
Me: and how the F is he getting that back home? It's a useless prize... may as well have given him 10,000 Free Big Macs from Punchbowl Maccas
*guy behind me pissed himself laughing at that comment*
Guy behind me: hahaha mate I agree, terrible prize.
Me: Seriously they should have given him something better.
Guy behind me and wife: Yeah totally agree

Such a shame he missed it, how much of a feel good story would it have been if that poor Locke had won and kicked that goal, he could and would have helped so many people no doubt in his village

Dunno but im not that impressed someone from a village in India got the chance, it should have been an Aussie. What about keeping Aussie money in Australia (if he won)? Should have been restricted to Aussie residents. The guy hadnt even heard of the dogs or NRL. Im thinking that they preferred him because he was buckleys chance of actually kicking it. In the end it was like he didnt even try. Kinda walked up and tapped it. Not like someone kicking for a million. If he knew he had to kick a goal for a mill beforehand, which he did, logic says he would have spent days and nghts practicing goals beforehand and would have done a lot better than he did. Then he won a bike he cant use. Poor promotion IMO.
