TIGERS-BULLDOGS EYE POTENTIAL SWAP DEAL
THE Tigers are still somewhat interested in signing out-of-favour Bulldogs utility back Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to boost their backline stocks.
The Dogs are prepared to pay a large slice of DWZ's hefty salary to sweeten the pot and a player exchange is also a possibility.
And who is the player being mooted in the swap? The temperamental Joey Leilua, who has been in and out of the Tigers side but can be a dangerous attacking weapon on his day.

BULLDOGS SET TO TARGET KENNY IN LATEST RAID
THE Bulldogs are poised to launch yet another raid on the Panthers, targetting talented hooker Mitch Kenny for next season.

already lured Jack Hetherington, Matt Burton and Brent Naden to Belmore and has now set his sights on Kenny.
The Bulldogs are desperate for a classy hooker for next season and Kenny fits the bill perfectly, being stuck behind star number nine Api Koroisau at the Panthers.
With Koroisau and seven team-mates on Origin duty or suspended last weekend, Kenny was one of the best players in the depleted Penrith side as they fell to Wests Tigers at Leichhardt.
At 23, Kenny is a Panthers local junior who has served his apprenticeship and is now ready to be a regular top grade hooker.
The Bulldogs' first choice was Storm star Brandon Smith but he is under contract to the premiers for another 12 months.

Sums up how much of a basket case we are ,cmon seriously Joey Leilua

I HATE the idea of a DWZ and Leilua swap. We're absolutely kidding ourselves if we're considering this. Would rather we focus our efforts on developing Schoupp and Naden is just around the corner.

Imagine considering buying one of the most ill-disciplined, selfish boofheads to play this game in an era where there's an over-the-top crackdown on foul play and this guy probably can't last 40 minutes without doing something stupid. Oh and also makes terrible decisions in pressure situations (i.e not passing to his wide open winger). Actually you know what, he'll fit right in.

FUCK no. to both of the articles. Joey is a complete dickhead grub footballer with a pea brain and lost Canberra that grand final. Kenny was absolutely awful against the tigers - Katoa is better, and thats really saying something. Piss DWZ off without the player swap and go for Hodgson instead

@bradyk with all his salary cap wisdom made a good point.. Leilua has 2022 as an option in the clubs favour. If we swapped now and paid minimal freight for Dalllin next year and didn’t renew Leilua’s contract then we’d have a pretty good outcome for next year salary cap wise to buy additional higher end talent.

I thought Kenny was pretty bad against tigers. I don’t mind the DWZ swap though. Leilua is an attacking weapon and DWZ is not in our best 17 for next year.

If that is the case it could be a good way to rid the DWZ contract, even if Jo was sent to Mounties to play for the remainder of '21....as usual the devil will be in the detail re what the tigs want us to contribute towards DWZ..

Yeah I don’t think Dallin is part of Baz’s long term
plans and may see this as a way to offload him. Time will tell.
