Disagree mate... You are talking about professional footballers, not some kids or overpriced pony's. I reckon plenty will be surprised at the professionalism they will add to the squad.
The main reason I suspect we're signing these types of players.
So our juniors are exposed to the right training ethics.

I agree. They also provide some leadership, depth and experience, these guys are genuine footballers at the very least - Middles now please…

Twal is a reserve for the worst team in the comp
Fmd are you stupid
That's this fkn place now, if you dont get on your knees over these putrid, rubbish signings you're "not a fan".

Yes we are desperate, yes we are buying reject shit ***** but we don't have to like the *****....

Best way to see how you really feel about a signing....

Would we of signed the **** if we were comfortably in the top 8? If no, they it's a putrid, desperation signing.

100% this is what he is doing. No use putting rookies into the firing squad and watching them fail year after year.

We won't win a premiership next year but we wont be getting flogged every week either, so its a win win situation and good on the club for trying something different

None of these signings will lift the club next year, except maybe Chrighton. The Dogs best hope is that the likes of KO, Edwards, Morrin, Patolo, Hughes, Wilson and Skelton improve out of sight. Of those KO is the most likely with Edwards and Skelton outside chances.
That is the Dogs' long term plan. Meantime, we need solid utility player to fill the gaps when players are injured or suspended.

That is what hurt us this season. We started with some promise then lost too many players with no decent replacements, and we were smashed by the tough draw the NRL always gives the Dogs.

Averages 100m off the bench
98% tackle efficiency

We are losing not one but two props from our 17.

I’d almost say it’s a no brainer - but his concussion issues are a worry.

People saying Twal is a reserve for tigers like it’s a bad thing. Tigers have a decent forward pack. If they had competent halves they’d be higher up the ladder. There front row of Stefano and Klemmer shit all over us. Twal would be a good option off the bench. Better than what we currently have.

My mates are tigers fans and I’ve always said if we combined our backline with their forward pack, it would be a top 4 team.

Yep that’s a good test.

Another is to ask if the signing would make the 17 for any of the better sides. If the answer is “no” then also = putrid, desperation signing.

Trying to understand the logic behind these types of signings - both Mann n Hutchison can cover a few positions at reasonable fg level - 6,7,9 13 and maybe an edge.

Hutchison as a ball playing lock from the bench might work well -

If two more fg ready middles are signed the utility signings wont be the focus

This. It’s obvious Gus and Ciraldo are bringing in players who are hard workers and will lift the standards. People underestimate the signing of Critta. This guy js going to bring so much off the field. The training, the preparation, the professionalism.

To be fair he goes alright, and tigers have a strong forward pack with klemmer and papalii. Forwards arent their issue. They have a bad spine and backs who cant tackle. Sounds familiar lol.

Its fuckin sad mate... I want to hear we are signing middles like Cotter, Tapine, Fisher Harris Reagan Campbell or Big Nelson, instead we are trying to chubb up over middles like Twal or Liam Knight..

Unfortunately we can’t just conjure elite talent out of thin air. To my mind these are intelligent, moneyball type signings. We are letting a lot of players go this year and these guys are definite upgrades. We still need some middles to add as squad players.
As long as they are going to work hard and be a positive influence around the Club I’m happy.
Then when 2025 rolls around and the market opens up we can go marquee hunting.
I’m firmly of the opinion though that these signings will add a lot of value to the squad.
I don’t think you are a dumb c### or a gronk. I think maybe you are being too much of a pessimist c### though, hehehe. Which is understandable given the season we’ve had.
Things are going to get better my bro, mark my words!
