News BRONSON XERRI SIGNS 2 YEARS EXTENSION

Again the club and Gus let us find news out through the daily telegraph.
Family club but deadset the worst club to member/fan communicators in the league.
Gus’s old school ways I guess

They club don't announce signings until the contracts are locked in past cooling off periods, You're crying over nothing.

I swear we are the worst club when announcing signings or extensions. I can’t remember the last time I was surprised or given some sort of excitement to see an announcement or extension. We either already know 100% who’s coming or announced the last after every other social media outlet. Such a let down.
The Kikau “announcement” was a real surprise.

There isn’t a cooling off period when you re-sign your own player.

telecrap has reported the signing if anyone has a subscription..

I do think is a ok signature but just think he is too bulky for the modern game and lacked speed this year.
He did the job but going forward we need faster legs on field.

Probably over compensated thinking the game needed bulkier centres like they had when he last played? Or maybe coaching staff wanted more of a battering ram

Xerri Commits to Bulldogs

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the re-signing of strike centre Bronson Xerri until the end of the 2027 NRL season.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a breakout first year at Belmore, scoring ten tries in 19 matches and averaging 145 running metres per game, playing a crucial role on the Bulldogs’ left-side flank.

General Manager of Football Phil Gould AM was pleased to see the Moorebank Rams junior extend his time at Belmore.

“Bronson has quickly solidified himself as a key member of our squad moving forward,” Mr Gould said.

“At 24 he still has plenty of Rugby League ahead of him, and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him in our colours.”

This leaves the following who's contract expire in 2025 (that I know of)

Hutchison, Kautoga, Mann, Morrin , Salmon, Sexton, Suluka-Fifita, Sutton, Taaffe, Turpin & Wilson on the main list.

I can't see Hutchison, Sutton & Turpin being extended & a few others need good seasons to be re-contracted.

They made him do it via Docusign. Hes still in DUBAI

Even if he's slower than when he first came into grade, I reckon he still has 95% of centres in the comp covered for pace

I don’t think so. He is right he looked slow. Hopefully he gets his speed back.

I can’t remember him creating much for himself or beating his opposing man 1 on 1 but his carries impressed me and was very solid defensively. With two yardage wingers taking the load off hopefully his attack picks up next year.

We needed one.
JAC, Taaffe, Tracey weren't gonna provide it.
