Don't know what to believe there. Apparently Canberra were offering him massive $'s. Hopefully the signings don't drag on so the players get the full off season to train with us.
I'd be surprised if it's true. Must impact the salary cap, unless we can get him cheap; or we're letting a big name player go.

Brett Morris has averaged over 15 tries per season for the last 6 seasons.... he's worth every cent.

I don't know why so many people expect Bmoz to play fullback. Perrett just got an entire year of fullback experience... If we don't sign a specialist fullback then I cannot see Perrett being moved.
Got to agree, both are naturally wingers, but Perrett now has quite a bit of experience at FB and has grown into the role. He enjoys it and wants to be there.

I'd leave him there and put Bmoz on the wing if we get him..... there are worse things than having the best wing and centre pairing in the league in our squad.

So he's confirmed our new fullback ?

I don't like this signing on the fact that he is not a ball playing fullback which is what we need as our halves are so flat and we need that creative spark which Brett simply does not have. If we had gun halves then Brett would have been an awesome signing as a defensive fullback.

We should have saved for Hayne.

According to 2gb, Morris isn't flying over with the Dragons to the WCC because his signing is "imminent" or something along those lines.

How the *%^* are people saying leave perrett at fullback? That is so weird I'd say you support another team secretly and don't want the dogs to secede. Perret moves to wing and only wing.

Any chance we could teach him some ball skills as well as a kicking game?

And because he is in a sling after shoulder surgery! When is the WCC mate?

Yeah so by your logic we put another winger at fullback and see what happens? What if Brett has no interest in being a fullback considering well, he isn't one?

Perrett is woeful in attack yes, but he is pretty good otherwise. He has just had an entire year, and will now have another offseason to improve. Why would you think trialling someone new is a better option? That is just odd.

If you think Perrett at fullback was the reason we didn't win the GF, well that is just a hilarious viewpoint.

Fifitas deal was not $850k from the cap. Pretty sure it was like first year $450k, then went up each year. The third party deal was what topped it up to averaging $850k a year plus there was the $200k advance and the car.
Correct... Who said Morris 500k is under the cap?

Keen to see how much we would be offering Brett. I would assume Dragons are paying a large portion of his contract next year given they have released him early and they have sign Etu from Panthers who would be on peanuts.
There is no way the Dragons are paying him to play for us. This isn't some nuffie they want off the books.

I like Sam & he is very reliable but unless we install a nos button in him we need to look else where

I'd like nothing more than to sign a proper fullback. But it's hardly worth signing a mediocre one or playing someone else out of position.

Still don't know where Rona/Perrett/Thompson/Morris/Loko/Lafai/Morris2 are going to fit in, and thats before you consider McInally and Stanley.

Once Loko is ready to roll, he secures one wing spot. #5
Once B Morris is confirmed, he secures the other wing spot. #2
Lafai and J Morris have secured the centre pairings. #4 and #3

That leaves Rona/Perrett/Thompson/Stanley fighting it out for one spot.

Re Sam, he puts his heart and soul into the position, but just isn't good enough. Too much sideways running, too slow, and doesn't dent let alone bend the line.

He didn't lose us the grand final, but I can't remember the last time a premier fullback in the game tackled a goal post either.

I read somewhere today that Brett still has issues with his shoulder he damaged during SOO, he will stand down and give his shoulder time to heal properly (IE so he can be 100% fit when he commences duties with his twin ;-)

Something tells me that Rona will be a surprise packet for us in 2015, not sure what is but I guess we will find out soon enough.
He has the build and speed to be a modern day FB IMO

Carlin Isles is in Australia for the Rugby 7s soon I believe.

Someone get in his ear and toss him a truckload of cash.

Mindblowing pace, huge vertical leap, and if he can hold onto a ball and tackle, he would be an amazing fullback. Nobody in the NRL could catch him with his mid to low 10s 100m sprint. :D
See my thumbs down total, Mr I? I copped half of them for suggesting that guy a year ago.

Where were you then, eh? You get a thumb down from me for not protecting a noob, then stealing his idea a year later.

(But aside from that, I still think he'd be worth wasting money on... You can't teach speed)

Can't blame him for that. Literally, the bounce of the ball didn't go his way.

Regarding Bmoz. I'd get him provided we don't lose Kasiano.
