He's reportedly on 1m. I don't see Broncos willing to pay more than half. For 500k I'm not sure.

I really like Jack Bird as a player, the bloke has had enough bad luck but I don't know... How many tampons per team?

SHOOSH

Having already signed Nick Cotric, the Bulldogs are now considering an approach to injury-prone Brisbane Broncos star Jack Bird to switch to Belmore next year.

They don't have a starting position for Johnston if JAC comes so unless he wants to play reserve grade on close to minimum wage Rabbitohs can't fit him in the salary cap. At that point Johnston's best interest is to move on (playing NRL and money).

johnston is the victim to fit Addo Carr.

i wouldn't mind Johnston at the dogs IF we move on or lose one of our wing plebs in Okenbor, Crichton or DWZ. DWZ most like for like player.

No room atm for him. We need a Fullback.

What a joke, spend some money on a young prospect, this is a backward step. We need a veteran half to show some leadership, and some forwards with heart, why would we want another injury prone player

Agree totally with what others have stated - Bird is a huge injury risk.

Here's a brief synopsis from Wiki :

"2018 - Bird would have a horror 2018 NRL season, only playing in 8 matches for the Broncos because of his shoulder and sternum injuries were still ongoing during the year.

2019 - Bird suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee injury during the Broncos 26-10 win at Suncorp Stadium. Bird’s 2019 NRL season was cut short, finishing with 9 matches...

2020 - On 11 March, Bird was ruled out for the entire 2020 NRL season after suffering an ACL injury at pre-season training.'

17 games in three years is a pretty damning statistic.

We should be spending our money elsewhere.
