That was a tough game for any rookie

Warriors 58% percent
ran for 400 more metres
9-5 pealty count
Tackled in our 20- 43 times
They had 20 odd offloads and threw everything at us

Martin kicked us to victory as Warriors scored 1 more try then us but dont discount Lewis' and the squads resilience to come out on top with far fewer opportunities.

Lewis' defence has already won us a few games so I am the least bit worried about that, I am more worried about being one of the poorest scoring teams season after season. But with Lewis, Martin and Smith coming into the squad we seem to have a few more points in us.
Add RFM and CHN who will go close to scoring 10 tries between them in a season as well.

Lewis doesn't love money? Lol
Lewis has made it clear what he doesn’t want for himself, with respect to moving back to Qld. Like any player he might one day leave the club for more money, but it won’t be under the guise of “homesickness”.

Mental illness ?
Needs to be close to family?

All of this is possible. But it’s not homesickness and he’s stated he doesn’t want the pressure of playing for a Qld club.

Jesus... in one thread we're moving him to lock or centre, in another thread he's being poached by the Roosters, in another thread he's heading to Brisbane.....

Just glad his with the dogs, been a big difference to the team since he made fg. Looking forward to see what he does for us next year.

Everyone needs to take a cold shower about Lewis. Forget the field goal against NZ for a minute and what we have is a kid that showed some good signs with ball in hand, and some deficiencies as well. Most impressive was his temperament and toughness, so there’s a solid base to work with, but he is still very much a work in progress and if for the better of his development he needs to go back to reserve grade at some stage and work on aspects of his game then I can live with that. Remember how long it took Thurston and Cronk to establish themselves in the NRL -- at least 3 or 4 seasons.

Granted, but we can't help get excited about Prince.

When was the last time we had a naturally talented, hard working half with hunger and brains?

Still think he is one of the best things that's happened to us for a long long time.

He is for sure. Last few years our team has been so boring to watch then this guy comes in fg and all off a sudden the team becomes competitive again. Yes he has got a long way to go that’s why looking forward to next year with him. His always thinking and you can tell he wants to learn as much as he can. Couldn’t help notice the Morris boys giving him some tips this year. As you said has the hunger.

The big danger with placing so much expectations on Lewis is that even if he plays moderately well next year, a lot of people will probably feel let down. He can bring a lot to the team. But he won't be able to be our game breaker every time he plays. I get the feeling that a few off weeks will see the naysayers come out in force to death ride him.

bearing a heritage like the Lewis family connection will add to the huge weight of expectation. It won't do him any favours to expect too much this early in his career. Best to hope for the best but accept that he will do his best, even if it's not all we hope for from him.
