The inconsistent 6 again rule and the inconsistent high contact rule are what allows referees to pick and chose where momentum is - early momentum (which is extreme compared to previous years) causes the defending team to blow all their energy in defence early.
Look at how our game against Manly started - they had four sets, back to back before their first try. Then we were hit with repeat penalties. We were penalised for a non event push in the back when the ball went over the dead ball line, and was a Manly 20 restart anyway. We had a player sent to the bin for a professional foul, just to blow out the score further, yet repeat offences from Manly saw nobody binned.

Plus he lies to suit himself and also sucks up to officialdom and the refs to suit himself.

Having acknowledged that, he has valid points and our club is at the forefront of those issues he highlights.

A thriving club in Des' first year, with all grades in GF, could not have self imploded so spectacularly EVER.

Just heartbreaking to see (and experience).
Des stacked the club with good players, but left a ticking time bomb with their back ended contracts. By the time he left, we were stuck with underperformers locked into massive payments, and no way to move them on, or recruit.

Management must take some blame for allowing that to happen.

The roster was still not of the quality of other teams, at that time, so to keep relying on this explanation, and blame, is inexplicable.

That the club was "virtually" destroyed from within over 9 years, with a good, but certainly NOT star studded roster, just defies logic and maths.

We are where we are "initially" because of the 2012-13 players contracts?....it just isn't believable that a club could be dragged down so far, over so long a time, because of that roster.

I think there's other issues at play and the Anderson Board were culpable as well for the mismanagement of the sc roster.

It is a mess of monumental proportions that all our Club Committees, Boards, Officials, Coaches have their responsibility for contributing to.
