I am a member and go to most home games.

But I’ve never been to a Good Friday game and probably never will.

I’m a practicing Catholic and go to Good Friday mass every year at pm so it’s virtually impossible to ever go to a game which starts at pm.

Please tell me I’m not alone! It deadset pains me but my faith is extremely important to me (as are my beloved Doggies).

Note: I’m extremely tolerant and welcoming of all religions and of those who are not religious. Please keep this thread civil.

I’ve never heard of any Catholic mass that kicks off at 3pm on Good Friday…. It honestly sounds like this thread was started by a journo…

But, for what it’s worth, by the time your 4pm mass finishes, you’ll still be able to watch it live on tv.

Go Dogs!

Same never been to one with always go to mass at 3pm. Use to record the games now with Kayo you just start from beginning. Aleays getting that itch in mass and avoid checking ur socials after OTW home haha.

I am Catholic but by no means an authority on these matters but if you go to morning mass, fast and stop what you’re doing at 3pm to reflect then I believe that you have fulfilled all obligations.

Well, you could always have a radio in your pocket with a descret earpiece in, just don't shout "FUCK YOU C**T!" if the reff gives us a bum call...
"Hallelujah!" might fit in nicely at some point.

Go for the Station of the cross in the morning and the mass after. At 3pm during the holy hour you can have a quiet reflection somewhere quiet.

I'm a practising Christian too and will do discreetly what my heart tells me. However I never found the need to create and broadcast my plans of a holy day on a football related forum.
Sorry but that's me.

Not trying to create a religious debate which was clear in my post. Was merely creating a discussion. Appreciate it’s not footy related per se but you’re more than welcome to contribute to other posts

First time not going to the good Friday game because our orthodox Easter lines up with catholic this year.

God bless
We miss out on an extra feast this year lol

in-laws are Maronite and my tribe is Orthodox
