Apparently bbo rumoured acl injury, saw a post on Facebook saying scans came back.. such a shame if true, we need options in the halfback role

That's bad luck for the kid. Hopefully he bounces back soon.

I know this is a small thing compared with the actual injury, but is anything being done about the player who was responsible for the tackle? There are some absolute deadbeats out there masquerading as footy players who know how to tackle in order to make this kind of injury possible, and live comment about the tackle was that it appeared to be a hip drop.

I didn't see a replay of it but it looked like a classic hip drop tackle to me.

I read yesterday it was an MCL - no idea which reporting is correct.

Such a shit way to end the year. No chance he stakes his claim for the 7 jersey next year now. Either we go to market, or Bailey Hayward has a massive off-season!!! Or, we will be shit again with Flange at 7.

How long will he be out for? ACL injuries are like 9 months on the sidelines right?

Where has this been "confirmed"? Didn't look good at the time I'll admit.

Thought Gus said mcl
He did but maybe that was before scans... Fark... if it is ACL that sux, Next year was going to be a big year for him. But now he will be lucky to get any time in First grade at all. Maybe increases the chances of JR getting a bench utility spot double fark.

How far is Hayward off NRL? Played a bit of cup this year. Close enough to at least put pressure on Flano and maybe be ready for 2024?

@Flanagun has just let out a huge sigh of relief
What an awful thing to say. I’d never wish injury on anyone. Don’t think he was competition for the first grade 7 jersey anyway. Still too young and not even playing 7 in Cup. Really sorry he has suffered this setback.

We should go after Jackson Hastings, Braydon Trindall, Jayden Sullivan or Toby Sexton. All 4 would be way better than Flanagan.
