Tickets bought for Dogs v Dragons to take my 4 year old Autistic son to his 2nd Bulldogs game

Here are the lessons I have learnt from the last game vs souths

  1. Don't go to a game vs Souths - Souths fans are there
  2. Turn up as close to game time as possible, the wait just adds to the anxiety
  3. Take headphones to block out the noise
  4. Bring his best friend - a good distraction for when it all gets too much.

Hopefully this time we will make it past half time

Good onya mate.

And yes, the worst thing about games against Souths is that Souths are there.

Thanks everyone,
I really do find it difficult, to be able to have these experiences with my son, last time we went, it was too noisy, the ground announcer really threw him off, the only pleasure he took was waving the Bulldogs flag I bought him, so, we are taking that again!!!

I have one son with Autism, my hat off to those who have multiple kids with it, it certainly takes a lot from you, but to be fair delivers so much more in return. (like we just got a free iPad).. naah just kidding it is way more than that, but seriously, free iPad

Game Day, the little man got up super early,
We have my old phone on charge, along with a power bank and a spare battery,
we have a kids pair of headphones to block out noise
organising footy snacks

stupid NSW transport, scheduling track works on a public holiday, so now we are driving, and he loves the train too... oh well

go Dogs!

Take his ipad with you.
My 4 year old had autism also. I took him to a game on the gold Coast. ☺ Have fun.

I did last time, but he broke it recently, so, he misses out this time. It will be fun though

Great to hear Ecca. I wish you and your little guy all the best for today. May be a bit more manageable for you as you will not have to put up with the rabbits fans, lol.
Hope that the result today is more memorable and he has plenty of opportunity to wave his Bulldogs flag.
I just love the fact that you are giving it another go, having the patience and the drive to do what you are doing is admirable. He has a good Daddy.
Dogluva is in your corner mate, give little Ecca (sorry I don't know his name) a hug for me and a big ' go the Doggies".
