In all honesty I don't think any team is safe from us if we fire on the day. Unfortunately we're still having some periods when that includes us though. We've shot ourselves in the foot in prime scoring range. So no win this year is unexpected. Neither is any loss. I'll be hopeful of winning streaks through the back end of the season.

Absolutely agree mate.
Because of the last 8 or so years, there is no game when I'm banking a win.
I can hope or even go as far as almost expect a win, but there's always that past coming back to tap me on the shoulder & advise we still might be rubbish after all haha.
When we win a few well, it doesn't shock me.
Ditto for losses.

This talk of a Winning Streak !
It's more important to focus on the process each week and game as looking to far ahead is dangerous. Complacency has hurt even the other top teams hard. Who would've thought Sharks get pumped by 13+ by the Panthers or rhe warriors beat the Dolphins on their current streak.
I want our boys fighting and not giving one inch as we push to cement ourselves in this competition. I'm sure every player that missed selection including Fox will have something to prove along with Teddy at the Roosters.
Would love to see us get in the finals but alot of tackles and metres to be made before we score and grab the Ws needed.

We will legit be the only side this season to play Parra at full strength, not once but fucking twice.

We have it pretty rough in the origin period

R13 - Knights (a) no rep players
R14 - Parra (h) fresh off their bye, with Moses and Gutho.
R15 - Bye
R16 - Roosters (a) Teddy available
R17 - Sharks (h) off their bye.
R18 - Warriors (h) not origin effected bar Barnett
R19 - Bye

R20 - Cowboys (a) Sunday night giving them the longest possible turnaround.
R21 - Broncos (a) on a 5 day turnaround, do the boys fly home or head to Brisbane for camp.

Our only saving grace during the origin period is that we get our fair share of home games. However after these matches we only have 3 more home games because of our QLD 'home' game against the Dolphins.

If Burton remains 18th man throughout the series, he will only play 3 games from now to round 20. Imo that will severely fuck us over.

The round 19 bye is also terrible timing if Kikau has to sit out for 6 weeks with his injury, as he will roll into a 7th with our bye... so hopefully he is good to go early.

All in all the club really needs to dig deep and win our next 2 games so we keep up with top 8.

Burton is the most talented player in the side and many of our points and wins have come off stuff he does. That try he scores before half time it took Burton's anticipation and speed off the mark to get there.
