Opinion Any chance of a mid-season signing?

Is there any possibility that we could still sign a decent outside back this year? I can live with JMK at hooker for now but a decent winger or Centre would be a shot in the arm.

Can someone clarify? Are we full or have we got 29 players with room for 1 more?

nope our club filled it intentionally to create the illusion that we have no $$$... we actually do they just arent willing to spend it yet... makes it easier to dodge criticism and blame the old regime.

Wouldn't mind this kid Ikuvalu from the Rorters on the wing or centre. Has size and a good finisher. He wouldn't be on much and he won't get much of a chance once Ryan Hall and BMoz come back from injury.

Top 30 doesn't need to be locked in till end of June. However you have to maintain a squad of 30 at any time.

So for examples sake you couldn't drop say Saddler and Olive (leaving us with 28). You could however drop Saddler and Olive out of Top 30, and replace them with say Nikora and Robert Jennings.

You'd have to have a player that wants to join the club first... After missing out on Robson it's looking more and more dire... Hopefully we get some good news soon.

With the top 30, yes our spots are filled but certain players can easily be released (I.e Olive) to create a roster spot for whoever would be coming in. Or if a player leaves mid season then the new player would take that spot..

Are you sure... I was watching a debate on fox can’t remember what one but they all said dogs have locked in there top 30 and can’t change it anymore. Once locked in that’s it for the season. Might be wrong but why would other teams lock in 29 if they could drop someone out before June deadline?

Depends if there’s a clause in their contracts saying they have to be in the NRL squad which Saddler has.

Not sure.. pretty sure even the NRL don't understand how it works. They make things up as they go along (as shown by Greenbergs De Belin rule - which is about to bite him in the arse).

If we drop him out of Top 30 and he leaves because we breach contract, it's not really a big loss.

Even Dalton Smith is struggling at the moment.

Recruitment will be key to our rebuild.. depending how well we do it, will determine how long this rebuild takes..
