I can understand about keeping juniors and looking at them in years to come (for example some Panthers NRL players have played together since SG Ball), but that doesn't fix our current issues in NRL, and seems to be a cop out.

You have defence, and you have attack. It's that simple really.

If we go backwards one week, those issues should be getting corrected so they don't reoccur the following week.

Problem is it's not like we are going forwards, we are actually regressing on previous performances.
Problem is that we have different troops every week, so no cohesion can be formed from the lessons learned.

How about piss of the players who are constantly shit you dumbarse, knoconmore should be the first to be shown the fucking door, drop the turd to reserves and don't re-sign ffs!!!
I disagree. Okunbor has potential, but he needs solid units around him to get the best from his size and speed. Right now, he is carrying lazy units like TPJ.

If anyone has to go it must be Perham as first cab off the rank. He did nothing in the centres - couldn't even run away from the defence with the only break he made.

Averillo showed determination running down his winger, even though the try was scored on the other side of the field. Where was the scrambling defence after his try saver?

I am very intrigued by the lack of mental sharpness of many of our players. They appear slow, lethargic mentally, making decisions in slow motion, with a body moving with no hard and intense intent to it.

Something is in our water and I can't figure out what it is - it just appears as if many players are thinking they can just go through the motions and be carried by other players. If the team played with the intent and intensity of Morrin today, its a different game. Why can't they run with purpose like him - he is smaller and inexperienced FFS.
Our team is fatigued. We are down and out for the count. End of season can't come soon enough.

We have players who are second guessing themselves when 2 others are in the tackle but are dominated by the attacker. Our players don't know whether to tackle low around the legs or go 3rd man high or resort to the defense line. You see them hesitate 1 or 2m away and then they run back.

IMO I think our players are not the right type to play the defensive structure being asked of them by the coaches. This falls in CC and his assistants. They might get away it in some games, might get masked in other games but ultimately it gets found out.

Not sure where to from here. But all I see is guys losing the tackle domination, one or both tacklers behind the legs of the attacker with no marker and players off side.

The technique to wrestle the attacker backwards or on his back and time your roll off is absent. It then has a roll-on effect on the next play and so on.

Need to go back to some basic wrestle and slow-down tactics but players must be trained to react to the referees tolerance levels. They need to be smarter.

And unfortunately that last line is what kills us. We are too dumb to adjust our game as it's needed.

Your kidding right?
Okenbur is much like Waddell, Averillo & co…. They’ll have one half decent game, people start creaming their pants over it, then for the next 2months go MIA

Okenbur is and always will be rubbish! He’s 7ft tall, built like a tank and yesterday much like games prior, can barely dominate a f’ucking tackle or catch a bomb

Completely agree. Does the Club still have that guy from NZ (forgot his name) as the elite performance consultant (or whatever BS role that is)?

Maybe if cc rotated the forwards better we’d have less missed tackles due to less fatigue, watching out games it feels like we have 6 interchange left at the 70th minute, it’s fucking ludicrous
I would much rather we simply interchanged guys in pairs at the 18th, 36th, 55th and 72th minute and be done with it. You can adjust the timing of the last pair as needed but stick to that formula and should can't really go wrong.

Oh and you don't leave someone on the bench till 70th minute. It's a 17 man game now. Have to get everyone into the rotation before 55mins

Put Okunbor into a team like the Storm, or Broncos and he would be playing SOO by now. He has potential to be another Kickau if we can give him the front row the team desperately needs.

How can we even pretend to be building towards a premiership to attract players like Hunt, if we keep dishing up that loser shit we did on Sunday...

Mahoney needs time off hes cooked.. just sub him with nu brown ffs
Nu Brown :tearsofjoy:.
Alzz it seems your entire coaching manual is to make mass changes because ‘he’s cooked’. Spare us. Mahoney ain’t perfect but he’s streets (no make that suburbs) ahead of Brown. Not to mention he’s our Captain and not getting dropped.

Gould is also to blame for blooding juniors too early.
Maybe the reality of our injury toll gave them little choice? Or knowing that guys like Flanagan won’t be retained so best to give KO a run when it’s clear we were never going to threaten the 8?

Steve Hansen and no. He left when Barrett left.

Seriously…..he wouldn’t even make reserve grade at the two clubs mentioned.
If he had the potential you claim why aren’t clubs lining up to sign him.
May go ok in super league where no one knows how to tackle so he will fit right in.

KO in the middle yesterday was a total failure and shocking coaching. He might be tough but not defensively strong enough to be in there.

we need to sign 2 props ASAP
