Mahoney is the goods. Is a good organiser and defender.
However, he needs to have rehab on his shoulder to remove any doubts and he needs to get rid
of his Teletubbie body shape. A good pre-season will achieve that.

He still has NFI in the opposition 20 and more often than not takes the absolutely wrong option.

Just because Potter has been able to play to every players strength does not mean JMK is suddenly a world beater, the entire team looks better overall but we are still fighting for the spoon and despite how Parra are going they’re still in the hunt for the finals.

I really don’t understand this form drop from him. Start of this year he was playing really well, kicking 40/20s and starting off with a few tries and a couple of try assists but now he looks lost in attack who doesn’t seem to create opportunities or any kind of threat at all. Worrying signs, thought we got a steal at 600k now its looking like an overpay lol.

It's not that JMK is amazing, it's that Mahoney has had a massive drop off this season compared to his previous two. He's easily the worst defensive hooker in the comp this year.

Form comes and goes, just needs the right person in his ear... Prefer him to have an ordinary season this year and a great season next... Kiks is the other extreme he is having an awesome year, find it hard to see how he can continue at his current rate. I have never watched him that closely previously, but what I found interesting was that Ciraldo rates him as the best defensive back rower in the game.

You compare what Titans got for the $$$ with Fifita vs what we have in Kiks ...happy days.

As far as running speed I think JMK would be second only to cook out of the NRL hookers. JMK is quick. His service from dummy half is slow as though.

Mahoney has better instincts. Seems like his body just needs a decent offseason, both to rest his shoulder and get in to shape. All JMK has offered this season is good dummy half running. That won't win us a premiership.

I think hes just over playing for Para and with a fresh start at a up and coming club he will find his form and get back to peak performance and fitness.

Para are done and dusted and their window for a premiership anytime soon is flying away fast.

WTF.... some of you need to put the glass barbie down, it's affecting your short term memory. What was it, six or seven weeks ago you were all whinging why Barrett was persisting with JMK and couldn't wait for the season to finish so you could see the arse end of him.... you even knicknamed him JuNK because you though he was "so good". He is showing some improvement under Potter and you are now saying he should have been kept...FMD the entire team had improved under Potter. I guess the Kennel will always be the Kennel.

Their form is rancid but talent wise they’re far above some of the players people here are making comparisons to. JMK is playing at his peak and Mahoney close to his worst, long term which one would you take
