Tolman is an engine room forward. His job is to give the big boppers a rest, to give the backs a rest. He doesn't risk errors by doing anything stupid. He just pushes on.His stats are exceptional, but I don't see, like others on here, the impact that a front rower in the modern game should have.
Where is the big hits, offloads, yardage from Tolman?
Look at the people who get nominated for Dally M medals for his position, they all do the above and do it well.
Get a forward to run full pace in each hit up and he'll last 20 minutes tops. Tolman's job is to chew up metres without getting exhausted so the other boys can make an impact without worrying about being too tired to cover their position.
