Former Bulldogs hooker Michael Lichaa begins custody proceedings after being estranged from his kids

Michael Lichaa is still picking up the pieces of a life that was shattered when he caught former Bulldogs teammate Adam Elliott engaged in an intimate act with his fiancée.

Adam Elliott may be fighting to save his career – but Michael Lichaa is fighting to save his family.
While Elliott may be locked in a new battle to save his career after being stood down for a bathroom encounter with NRLW star Millie Boyle, Lichaa is still picking up the pieces of a life that was shattered when he caught his former Bulldogs teammate engaged in an intimate act with his fiancée.

News Corp can reveal the fallout from Elliott’s first tryst took a turn this week when Lichaa began custody proceedings after being estranged from his children.

A day after Elliott was stood down for his latest breach, Lichaa was in court filing an interim order to seek access to his children.

“I don’t care about any of that,” Lichaa said when asked about Elliott’s latest indiscretion.

“I am just worried about seeing my kids. I won’t be making any comment.”

News Corp can reveal that Lichaa has been living in shared accommodation with boxer Jack Brubaker since he caught Elliott in the intimate act with his former fianceé, Kara Childerhouse on the back deck of the couple’s Connells Point home on February 14.

Lichaa split with Ms Childerhouse after the incident.

While Elliott was able to continue his career after issuing a public apology for his role in the incident, Lichaa was charged with several offences after police attended the Connell’s Point home on the morning of February 14.

Taken to hospital with injuries alleged to have been sustained by punching a window, Lichaa later entered pleas of not guilty to charges including common assault, destroying or damaging property and stalk/intimate to cause fear of physical harm.

Elliott apologised for his actions but was spared any punishment from his NRL club.

Lichaa has given up on his NRL dream.
“This is an extremely difficult time for my family and I,” Elliott said.

“They are my most important focus at the moment and I ask that people can respect mine and my family’s privacy at this time.

“In consultation with the Club, I will be undertaking the necessary help that I require with appropriate measures and checks.”

Set to face court on November 2, Lichaa has been attempting to rebuild his life since the breakdown of the relationship.

It can be revealed the former Lebanese international has been working as a carpenter for Parramatta building firm Introbuild Constructions.

While volunteering as a junior rugby league coach, Lichaa gave up on his dream of returning to the NRL in the wake of the incident.

Estranged from several of his former teammates, including Elliott, Lichaa was also stood down by the NRL as part of the no-fault stand down policy.

Having initially reached an amicable arrangement with Ms Childerhouse to see his children three days a week, Lichaa is taking steps to see them again after that arrangement broke down.

The interim child access order was lodged by Lichaa’s solicitor Bassam Kazi from KPL Lawyers on Tuesday.

Lichaa refused to divulge details of the court order or his relationship with Ms Childerhouse when contacted by News Corp.

Meanwhile, Elliott was issued a $10,000 fine by the NRL and could face further disciplinary action from the NRL after he was asked to leave a Gold Coast restaurant on Sunday afternoon.

Management at the venue ejected Eliott from the restaurant after he was discovered in the men’s bathroom with Broncos NRLW player Boyle

The pair were alleged to have been kissing.

It’s the third time Elliott has been embroiled in off-field issues involving alcohol since 2018 when he was involved in a “Mad Monday” incident.

Elliott pleaded guilty to wilful and obscene exposure after allegedly placing his genitals in a drink.
So was Lichaa facing a jail sentence of 11 years or more? That's the standard for the stand down policy. This sounds over the top.

An employee needed a key to open a toilet cubicle door for security to remove a shirtless Adam Elliott from a Gold Coast restaurant in front of bemused patrons, as new details of the Bulldogs player’s toilet tryst with an NRLW star emerged.

Elliott, 26, could be served a show-cause notice from the Bulldogs as he desperately fights to save his NRL career after his latest off-field scandal, with his manager David Riolo launching a passionate defence of the one-club man.

According to sources familiar with the situation on Sunday night, Elliott was shirtless when he left the White Rhino restaurant after being sprung in the men’s bathroom with childhood friend Millie Boyle.
Boyle is alleged to have followed Elliott into the area shortly before 11pm when the pair then locked themselves in a cubicle. Shortly after, a restaurant employee knocked on the door, but didn’t get a response.

The employee was then forced to retrieve a key to have the cubicle opened and found Elliott without a shirt on before security grabbed him on the arm. He was then taken out of the restaurant onto Cavill Avenue while still not fully dressed, much to the surprise of diners.
While Boyle told News Corp earlier this week the incident was just a “kiss in the bathroom” and a “big kerfuffle about nothing”, the Bulldogs have taken a dim view of Elliott’s latest misdemeanour, which happened after he had drunk alcohol for the first time in seven months.

The club has the option of handing Elliott its own breach notice after he was previously embroiled in the club’s Mad Monday scandal in 2018, as well as being quizzed over an incident earlier this year involving former teammate Michael Lichaa, who found Elliott “making out” with his fiancee at a February party hosted by the pair.
Bulldogs general manager Phil Gould said on Wednesday he couldn’t guarantee Elliott, who has been stood down from the club’s last two games, would still be at the club after the latest incident.

The NRL fined Elliott $10,000 on Thursday for “bringing the game into disrepute and failing to comply with biosecurity protocols”. Boyle was given a warning.
But the damage could be far more serious for Elliott, who still has two years left on his lucrative deal with Canterbury after rebuffing a big-money offer from the Warriors last year to stay at Belmore.

Riolo defended his client on Thursday and told the Herald: “I just hope this hasn’t been beaten up and some sort of attempt to have a player dismissed so it helps create some cap space for the club.
“I don’t think it’s a great look and the situation was unfortunate for all. But I still think it has been an over-reaction to an incident when you consider everything that’s going on in the world right now, it’s quite minor and [an incident] that wouldn’t have had a huge impact on the club.”

Canterbury chairman John Khoury said the club was yet to decide whether further disciplinary action would follow.

“The NRL have just issued their proposed sanction to Adam and per process, he and his manager will have five days to review and respond to that,” Khoury said. “The club is continuing its own process within and will determine if further or additional club action will follow.”
It has been widely speculated the Bulldogs are under cap pressure next year after going on a big spending spree, landing the signings of Josh Addo-Carr, Tevita Pangai jr and Matt Burton for next year.
Elliott stands to collect around $1 million over the next two years.

Does Murdoch still own the Broncs?

That might explain why DT's Buzz is the only one who she says told her version of events (to minimise fallout for her and bad publicity maybe?).

Did she explain if its true whether an employee did in fact knock, get no answer, have to go retrieve a key, unlock the toilet door and they were still in there kissing?

Would have taken 2 minutes at least for the employee to go get the key...and they both expect their clubs to believe they were only kissing? and Elliott had his shirt off as he was escorted out?

Guinnes World Record Kiss in a Toilet Award.
She probably doesn't count omissions as lies. Left out the bits that made her look even worse.

If that's the case then what about the other players & WAGS that were there?
Don’t know - there may be private transport arrangements available to players/families and anyone inside the bubble eg: hotel minibus. I just know that public transport is off limits as part of the bio-sec rules.

Millie Boyles response on Instagram aggravates me on so many levels.

She takes aim at Paul Kent who wasn’t talking shit, but he was unaware of the phone call she had with the integrity unit and rightfully said she should be investigated.

I don’t know if I’m alone here but has anyone noticed a real anti media attitude by a growing number of players these days? This is kinda sparked I think by this sub media platforms like bloke in a bar and YKTR that are very pro the players.

Millie doesn’t deserve to be abused in her DMs or whatever but people and particularly those in the media are paid to have an opinion and criticise her particularly when she fucks up. If she wants to play more than 4 games a season and get paid more, the media will determine that because the cap is funded by broadcasting revenue. How about she takes full accountability for making the game look like it is full of Dereks (same as Elliott) and we can move on….

It’s a bit rich for David Riolo to throw the “cap space” allegation card around. David doesn’t mention his clients wrap sheet which will likely contribute to the club’s decision.

Since the NRL has fined David’s client for bringing the game into disrepute and failing to comply with biosecurity protocols, it’s yet another incident in a string of incidents… it’s got nothing to do with cap space, it’s got everything to do with setting standards and expectations.

I would expect the same on Napa, Schoupp, Wakeham etc. if they were to repeat offend or any other player who disregard their duty of professionalism.

As a Dogs fan I'm just sick of it personally. We don't need to be going down this path every 6 months or so with Elliott or anyone else at the club. We'd never be given this many chances in our employment if we were stuffing up things so much, why do people think we'd be forgiving to him?

I'm not angry at him. Nor do I feel ill will towards him. We all make mistakes.

But a blind man can see that the environment at the Bulldogs isn't the right place for him, and that him staying longer is only going to affect him negatively, and the whole club. He can't be with us anymore.

This incident in isolation would be different, but it's not. It's at the end of a list of repeated offences by Elliott where he hasn't learnt from one single of his mistakes. Can anyone point out how he's learnt from any of his past brushes with the board / NRL?

Time to move on Elliot. Which you all the best, but not at the Dogs.

So basically Adam lied as well. The bloke is an absolute grub and needs to be shipped out asap. he doesnt even have the balls to tell the truth and cop it on the chin
He actually had the balls to say it wasn't such a big deal ...

Caught in a cubicle with a chick. Locked himself in & refused to come out when asked. Just fucking embarrassing tbh.

But, said it wasn't a big deal ....

He needs to get some serious help, and spend some time away from the game as the guy is clearly nuts

My fear is he will realise 17 chances is way too many and he’ll probably not fk’n up anymore and we’ll be stuff with this flog, his multiple I’ll disciplined mistakes on the field, and his 480k pay packet killing us.

this may be our only chance to correct Barrett’s terrible decision to re sign this clown.
No waY, Guys like that are wired different, he will f up again
I've never cheated on a girlfriend (nor have I hooked up with a woman who has been in a relationship). I also did not say at any stage that adultery shouldn't be frowned upon, so please don't make assumptions about me. The world is not black and white, why should people's opinions be?

I didn't say most people have done it either, but a faily large chunk of the population would have. People talk about living with the right values, but to me good values include living life by my own moral code, not being judgmental and vindictive, trying my best to let go of grudges, showing compassion and forgiveness to others and generally trying to keep my nose out of other people's business. I get angry, just like anyone else. But I feel it's best to let go of that anger whenever possible.

I also think it's a bit hypocritical to hate on Elliott so much when we have many players who have been involved in the game (past and present) who have done things that are worse and have been forgiven by the public, their trangressions all but forgotten....usually due to the fact people like them as players. I think there are a lot of NRL players out there who cheat, tbh. People seem to be more pissed off at Elliott because he broke the bro code

As far as you're concerned, it seems your dislike for Elliott is based just as much on the fact you don't like him as a player as it is on your disapproval of what he has done. If it were solely based on his act of adultury, you would have stuck to that issue and not gone off on a tangental mini rant about him sticking his tongue out after getting held up.

People really will look for any reason to hate on someone these days. I see it all the time, not just with Elliott, but with Naomi Osaka, Novak Djokovic, David Warner, Virat Kohli. People just have to have an opinion on the character of people they don't know....and of course, everyone's an expert.
The fact you come to conclusions based on assumptions speaks volumes on your real life/real world experience. The fact you took this much time out of your day to reply with however many paragraphs you wrote to a complete stranger says a lot champ

Not that I’d ever have to explain myself to a beta male or a female; you’re clearly one of the two with this obsession of a 24 year old rugby league player. I joined this forum simply to cast a vote on sacking this bloke, felt like I had to do my part as a 25 year supporter of our great club, in the slight hope of the club or Gus seeing the poll
