Opinion 6 Again [RANT] the NRLol is a joke and copying rules from other codes

The absolute state of the NRLol and the 6 again rule. More lop sided games than ever, refs assist teams with constant six agains resulting in fatigue and a break down of defensive structures. Even teams who have been a rabble and try to focus on defense get blown away on the score board ie: (Tigers & Cowboys)

Using captains challenge from cricket, using a basketball buzzer for the drop out clock, shot clock they borrowed from some place else, the bunker wasn't that dud idea from the NFL? This sport is an absolute mess and needs to be simplified. The more complex the game gets, the more teams like Roosters & Storm with the best coaching staff manipulate the rules and find loopholes, then we got to change rules every year in a never ending cycle of NRL incompetence.

Also Vlandys OUT, the guy loves the media attention and is an ego maniac who thinks he is making rugby league great again.

Almost every game of Round 1 was lop sided, and the 6 again was a contributing factor. This might be wonderful for winning teams, but for neutral viewers and those on the receiving end, it doesn't make for enjoyable viewing at all. A season full of endlessly lop sided matches, isn't going to be good for the game.

In general, I am also opposed to constantly changing the rules.

At some point the NRL needs to realize that with these rule changes, piss poor biased refereeing and favoritism to a few teams with certain things they will gradually lose a lot of fans to the game. It's already a fact that other sports are growing junior bases faster than league is, so the long term fans might not be easy to replace.

Like an increasing number of people on this forum are starting to believe, it's seemingly all taking place to help out the gambling sponsors. This attitude of fuck the fans as long as we're making money seems to be coming from the NRL admin. For most of them they know they're in transit in their jobs, so money now is all they seem to care about.

Valandys is a businessman... Imo the game was better when Gallop was in-charge, he had the stones to make the tough calls and wasn't reactive like the ***** that have ran it since.

The way you explained just now ...that leads to the explanation of tv advert breaks. Plenty of frantic action in between and then a breather for the ads and station promos.

You may have stumbled on the real reason for manipulating the rules on this new 6 again.

It's a new rule and they always get overused at the start of seasons. Give it ten rounds and see what affect it's having on the comp.

I've gone from watching every game per week to just watching the Bulldogs & even that's only because I have OCD. They are truly destroying the game & with people like Andrew Johns having so much of a word about how the game operates, it only gets worse. #DrugsAreBadMkay

I didn't have much time for Gallop & when I sent him details of a referee betting on a game he was about to officiate & he did nothing said volumes. I gave him the date the time the place & camera footage was available to prove it.
