2025 Round 1 - Other Team Lists and Game Discussion

I can understand a few individuals wanting to stay home with their family.. however the Broncos play in Sydney tonight and from all reports they are all there. This might just be a tiny insight into the commitment difference between those two sides.
More like the players at the Broncos had less time to think about it / had already left beforehand

Sounds sus to me. Commonly when NRL players are away from home their club welfare department contacts the family and asks if they need help with anything. If they do then the welfare officer organises players from their pathways (males and females these days) to help out. I have seen things like lawn mowing, shopping, driver for appointments, baby sitting etc. I'm sure filling sand bags wouldn't be an issue, or if necessary evacuating the family to higher ground.

This not unusual happens every day at every club, I don't understand why these 3 are somehow different.

Maybe the Donkeys welfare department is more on the ball than the Dolphins.

The Broncos players would be deathly afraid of getting bashed to death by Madge if they dogged it on him.

Rightly so, lets be real here they are footy players living in nice suburbs, these WAG's love to hear their voice despite there being only one reason for it, to get a reaction.

I'd imagine the Broncos players will be stuck in Sydney until Sunday considering flights back to qld are cancelled

Of course skeletor is happy Souths have an easier game now. This bloke gets zero hate for how he has ruined the game. He has been on the board who helps make the decisions for the new rules that has destroyed rugby league. Not a word against him because he won a few comps with an Australian team.
