I'm assuming its 2 to 5 March (i think season is starting a earlier as there are more rounds).

Why are people being down on Sunday games (ok, time of day on this one isn't great)?

Technically 2018 against Melbourne but we played that game in Perth. 2017 we played Melbourne at Belmore & before that it was 2014 against Brisbane at ANZ. So we've had 2 Sydney home games in round 1 in 10 seasons.

Not to mention we keep getting away games against teams who have a massive home ground advantage ffs !!

2020 - Eels
2019 - Warriors

3pm is very early for the 1st weekend of Autumn. And still daylight saving (so 2pm).
But I am sure they thought of that.

with kids sports on saturday from 3pm onwards saturdays are out for me so sunday is the best for my situation

I just feel they could've gone with more traditional matchups. Dogs/Tiger, Bronco/Cowboy and a GF replay of Panther/Eel. Something like that I feel would build more hype than some of these games. Anyway at least we don't have a bye, couldn't think of anything worse than waiting months for the new season only to miss round 1 haha.

The comp is 27 rounds and every team gets 3 byes. I think there are bigger issues than who plays round 1.

Bulldogs haven't had a home game in Round 1 since 2017. I think it's about time for one of my direct and straight to the point emails to the NRL, which won't be replied to. Once again they treat us with contempt

This were the leaked games obtained by the Daily Telegraph. Apart from Melbourne it is actually a decent first 4 rounds for us against struggling teams.
