This is the ridiculousness of the legal mentality in the game, technically Feldt's tackle was a penalty then, but he actually brought the guy down really well, there was 0 risk of harm. Compare that to what happened to Meaney where the opposition player leaped from 5m away and smashed into him with sideways force, but because he made it look like he was going for the ball, nothing done, and Meaney put in a dangerous position. The bloke had 0 chance of catching the ball with a leap like that, but technically he gets away with it.

The rule needs to be ditched for next year.

In theory it was well worth a try but in reality the rule is a joke. Slows the game down and they're still getting it wrong after reviewing the Challenge.

Penalised and on report but most the media agreed it was harsh as it was accidental in the execution of the tackle not a deliberate action.
