What happened to Manu at 5/8th @BEAST MODE

I told you Robinson had a hard on for Hutchison.
No way you should play Sam Walker in his debut match with a makeshift 6. He needs an experienced half next to him.

Interesting to see Crichton at the back for Panthers. Burton takes his place at center.

He's played there before and was really good.

Cheers for the lists Zill.

The problem is Hutch is our most experienced half right now as we've got Lam, Kez and Keighran all on the sidelines until round 8-9 when we can expect Keighran back.

I think its more a lack of options than a hard on with Hutch. My thinking was Manu at 6, Hutch at 7 and Suualli in the centres, but Robbo has pulled the trigger on Walker and now I'm swapping between anxiety and anticipation to see how he goes.

I think Walker was always getting a shot. This is what they signed him for. Hutchison is there because Robinson wants some experience and another playmaker alongside Walker to help take the pressure off. Putting Manu in the halves would put too much responsibility on Walker or Hutchison as he's just a runner.

Can't argue with any of that. But don't be surprised if Robbo pulls Walker out even if he's playing well. He's good, but he's never experienced the week to week rigours of NRL so we'll probably give a couple weeks, rest him for a couple, etc. I just hope the pundits lay off the kid if he fails to live up to expectations in the short term.

Absolutely. The media are renowned for overhyping young halves and then ruining their careers before they had a chance. Physically Walker might struggle a bit but he's ready based on ability and skill. I think he'll play well this week and be in the team the rest of the year. Lam is average and seems better at hooker so Walker is the best long term option you have this season.

I don't get how Ryan James can play this week, he was out cold for a while in that game. NRL rushes in the 18th man rule and yet this is ok, weird

Fox are now reporting Hutchison will go to hooker, Manu to 5/8th and BMoz to the centres with Ikuvalu moving to the wing, not Suualli. Manu to 5/8th wouldn't surprise me (@BEAST MODE would have been right after all), but that would put a lot of playmaking pressure on Walker.

Anyone reckon the warriors could get up against the roosters?
100% they could. They have a bit of an edge about them this year and their forward pack is big and aggressive. Their halves a shit but ours are untried, they have Montoya in the centres so it could balance out to be a good game. Just no more bloody injuries!!

Heard a little whisper Teddy to wear 6 and Suualli at fullback.

The Warriors were also down 30 last week to Canberra before Canberra fell apart with injuries etc.

They do look improved this year and beating the Titans is a good win but I reckon the Roosters are primed to bounce back even with their changes.

Wow. That would be balls out starting Suuali at fullback and Walker as the main half. Teddy could play there, but they should blood Suuali on the wing for a season first. Teddy adds too much in his kick returns and from fullback to move him.

I agree, seems too desperate a move for Robbo and yeah we'd lose more moving Teddy from the 1 than we would gain him wearing the 6.

I just read on foxsports Josh Macguire is free to go. I haven’t watched him really at all the past couple of years, but is he any good? I like the type of player he is, no nonsense, experienced, hard edge. He used to play a bit of prop at Brisbane, does he still have anything to offer? Mind you he is contracted for next year, so cowboys could possibly tip in a little bit
