This is the team I would pick. In brackets is what the team will likely be.

1: DWZ
2: Meaney
3: Harper (Smith)
4: Hopoate
5: Smith (Okunbur)
6: Cogger
7: Wakeham (Lewis)
8: Tolman
9: JMK
10: To'omaga (Napa)
11: CHN
12: Stimson (Jackson)
13: Jackson (Elliott)

14: Katoa
15: Napa (To'omaga)
16: Ogden (Stimson)
17: RFM (Britt)

My Round 1 team
1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
2. Jayden Okunbor /Nick Meaney
3. Morgan Harper
4. Will Hopoate
5. Reimis Smith
6. Lachlan Lewis
7. Brandon Wakeham
8. Aiden Tolman
9. Jeremy Marshall-King

24. Sauaso Sue
25. Chris Smith
26. Christian Crichton
27. Kieran Foran
28. Kerrod Holland
29. Marcelo Montoya

Notes :
* Holland and Montoya should not see 1st grade this season Averillo and Tass should both be in front of them
* Wakeham and Lewis to start in halfs but if Lewis struggles 1st couple of weeks in attack swap him with Cogger and Wakeham should get first crack at the 7 he was strong for Fiji and it's his time to take it with both hands
* CHN Stimson in back row JJ at Lock it's a strong back row
* Morgan Harper should get first crack at the centre spot
* Adam Elliott I'm not a fan of but he is a auto pick due to being coaches pet
* RFM and Renouf where a positive off the bench for us in the backend of the season but super coach needs to give them longer time on the field
* Start with Katoa at 14 but I wouldn't mind having Averillo there if Katoa fails Averillo can cover the backs 1-7 and it would be a good way to bring him into grade
* Starting with 2 big wingers is what is needed in the modern game they both make planty of metres out of our danger zone my concern about Jayden is he gets found out to often in defence but he needs to get that sorted quick if he wants to stay in grade

I had a bit of time on my hands so I thought I will give my opinion hahaha

Good team. No x factor so middle of the pack. Certainly no need to be playing into bookies hands at 15th.

True that. It's hardly picking a team if you provide 3 different options for each position and then complain when pay doesnt pick who you want each week. Lol

4. Ramien
5. Chambers
6. Latrell
7. Foran injured
8. Thompson

13. SBW

14. Sezer

16. Walmsley
17. Woods - if we’re still paying part of his salary he can play round 1 for us

Coach. Justin Holbrook
Assistant. Shane Flanagan

Overlord. Gus

It might happen by Round 8...
Maybe. Either way there really shouldn't be that many selection dramas right now, only a few positions should really be up for debate imo.

Remis will need to play out of position in the centres & Okunbor onto the wing because our club couldn't even buy a centre. Holland, Montoya must never see first grade & Harper too green.

2020 is still a building year so u might as well see who out of Harper, Montoya, Averillo and maybe Reimis take the left centre position.

Orrr u never know we might end up with LM/Carr on the left edge...:tongueclosed:

I’d like to see either Harper or Averillo make it theirs. I’d leave Reimis on the wing - 12 tries in 2019 proves he’s a great finisher and that was not seeing enough ball - imagine if he saw more ball/space...no, not from either of the other two fellas you mentioned - they’re not coming...

Totally agree, I really think Averillo can step up and make the spot his this year. Honestly we have nothing to lose on this just do it I say.

Averillo, Topine and Tass give em a run at some stage.

Tass may well get a look in at some stage towards the back of the year or depending on injuries. I'd be very surprised if Holland or Montoya will be renewed beyond 2020 - I don't dislike them for any reason, they just haven't cut through when needed.
Topine has a big future but damn we've got so many back rowers, he'll have to bide his time a little bit I'd say.
Both very young and with Topine locked up until the end of 2022 no rush.

That's how I feel too mate.
We need to focus on these young guys coming through, they have the talent.
2020 need to throw these guys in we are 50/50 on to see what they have and if they can actually cut it to see where we are at for 2021 and beyond.
