Hey guys,

coming up to end of normal season now....and i always look forward to watching the Dally M's
who do you think will get the award for each position? I think we may clean up a few awards like in 2009
mine are as follows.

DALLY M - Ben Barba

Fullback of the Year - Ben Barba (can't go past him really, even if I am biased)
Winger of the Year - Brett Morris (just a freak, like his brother)
Centre of the Year - Josh Morris
Five-Eighth of the year - Josh Reynolds
Halback of the year - Adam Reynolds
Lock of the year - Paul Gallen
Second Row - David Taylor
Prop of the Year - Sam Kasiano
Hooker of the year - Robbie Farah (always a clear standout in an average tigers team)
Coach of the year - gota b Des or maybe Maguire
Rep player of the year - GI
Rookie of the year - Adam Reynolds
Top try scorer of the year - Barba or Josh Morris (happy to see them share it tbh) last year Barba and Merrit shared the award
Captain of the year - ????? who knows

i think there are a couple of more awards but can't remember them....

thoughts ppl?

Adam Reynolds is streaks ahead of Josh, even if he was eligible

how can u say that?
streak ahead?
Pretty easily actually. Streaks. Adam Reynolds has come into a side, playing halfback (replacing a half that left for 500k+..), taking on way more responsibility than Josh, namely because he has John Sutton as a halves partner...A.Reynolds is solid in most aspects of the game, his defence is good, it's not great, but it's a ****load better than Josh's. His all round kicking game has been fantastic all year, Josh's has only been good around the goalline. A.Reynolds has also been an absolute gun with the boot for conversions and penalties - hence he's second in the point scoring for the season...

Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of Josh, but in terms of rookie of the year, even if he was eligible, Adam is the runaway.

yeh i guess your right...no doubt Adam has been great...but i still didnt see him do much when they played us?
Josh has been consistently good almost every game this season....his kicking game hasnt been bad either....i dont think anyway.......
i guess we should give the award to Adam...just based on having to play next to Sutton the whole season (man he is soooooooooooo shiiiiiiiiiiiite!!!)
have never rated him and never will....the team carries him...
it did look like he had spiders on him last weekend though or was that the tigers paperthin defense?

Reynolds had quite a few points before it went into lockdown ... and he's been winning alot of MOM Awards

Will be close I think
For the positional award, I don't think it matters how many points you have in relation to others. Anybody know if this is correct.

Don't think you can compare the two really...they are both performing very different roles in their sides....Reynolds is steadier and definitely more of an organiser...but Reynolds has that X factor you want from a 5/8. Doesn't matter anyway as only one Reynolds is eligible....but if he were hypothetically ekligible I think it would be close.

Sutton has actually been good this year though...which may well be due to the influence of a better coach and steadier hb...but he hasn't been rubbish like he has in previous yeras from the games i've seen...and i've watched quite a few.

No, the overall Dally M winner automatically wins their corresponding positional award.
