Is this any different to Mark Bouris helping Chooks players to buy real estate as an investment and helping them secure the finance?

Always a Bulldog
No difference at all however Mark is not a sponsor. Not sure if it’s the same ramifications as a board member?

Yes understand that but the opportunity to struture Laundy's proposal is there to administer it the same way?
No expert but i cant see why not as long as he doesnt offer guarantee rturn or the payout as was suggested bt Rothfiled in his column. I d think Laundy could just say - here is an opportunity to invest some of your salary into a pub - the offer is only available to those who sign with the dogs.

Love Gus, but I don't believe a thing he says.
Maybe go have a look at the headline the media came up with last week after Gould’s presser addressing the 66-0 loss to the knights.

GOULD BLAMES HASLER FOR THE MESS THE BULLDOGS ARE IN.

If you’ve watched the video of that interview he says nothing of the sort, didn’t even mention Hasler’s name .. he was asked a question by one of the reporters … and he said I’m not going to bring any past coaches or management into this.

that’s how far the media will twist a conversation to get their headlines.

What your comment should of said was, I don’t believe a word the media say !

At the end of the day if a player wants to use his money to invest in a Laundy pub there’s nothing anyone can do about it providing it’s all done above board
Buzz insinuated that it would be an offer on top of their salary.

Really if this is truly how Gus and Laundy are portraying it facts wise, Authur may have been totally misrepresented and taken out of context to such an extend by Buzz to suggest he was proposing something illegal or contrary to salary cap rules.

I hope he takes it further if he has been misquoted and made out to be a liar and potential sc cheat.

This is how I feel it’s gone down. I hope they do follow it up. If not legal action then some sort of mediation. This has thrown a whole bunch of people under the bus.

Thanks mate. So to issue boils down to Buzz suggesting Laundy was gonna "give" players the extra money to invest with him.

Well it has shone a light to all rugby league fans just what goes on with Storm, Rorters, Broncs etc so evetybody, every club needs to get in on it to fairly compete.

More to be revealed probably.

Ultimately it is a good thing if everything is out in the public. I personally had no idea that Storm spend almost a mil in TPA’s compared to the club median which is around 100k.

Can’t do that. Part of the condition of the NRL approving the Storm deal with Betr is it can’t be used to lure players to a club. It’s for retention only - hence why Storm used it on the likes of Munster and Grant.

Some people want to believe Rothfield over Gus... Now thats fucked up in my opinion.
I really don't give a rats if Gus is lying or not, he is protecting the club.

All the media does is lie and make shit up, why can't we?

I just can't figure out why the club and associates even talk to the scum ***** in the media.

Exactly. And defend Buzz, and/or his employer, who publishes the rubbish to cause maximum reputational damage to the CB Bulldogs.

Hoping that link Kaz gave works so we don't have to pay Newscorpse to watch our team.

I agree with what you're saying, but there's no denying Gus can shit talk and spin it with the best.
