I don't like the idea of what we are doing right now either (having two halfbacks) etc but at the end of the day we don't know what's going on training, what Cirlado's plan is. I think he's slowly blooding Galvin into the team and by finals he will be the 7 and Sexton will be in cup. But for...

I agree. We showed a lot in this game that was decided by small margins. Let's not forget this is still the 4 peat Panthers. From what Ciraldo is saying, doesn't seem like it's on his agenda for the next few weeks. Unless results really take a turn for the worst, I think it's how we will stay...

    Montoya discussion

Are you forgetting that we are still leading the comp? Why do we need to re-structure and change the whole team? Burton has been playing well and his kicking game has saved us so many times. It's literally a difference maker and you want to drastically reduce it? Plus Burton is a better half...

    Max King V Leo Thompson

This is based on 2025 stats only. The stats are skewed: King is playing for 1st & Thompson for 14th, but still gives a decent indicator. The short version is that this year Max King has better attack, Leo Thompson better defence (more tackles + less missed). In Ciraldo's defensive focused...

Turbo is a massive risk, but one that can pay off if he stays fit. Way that I see it, it's a risk not worth taking. Our centres are stacked - Crichton, Latrell, Best, Staggs, Burton. The two wingers To'o and Lomax are must haves. After that, the depth isn't great. Addo-Carr and Tupou are tried...

I'm not sure if Mann is a lock. If he gets selected, it will be as 14. Hunt, Dearden, Cobbo are likely ahead of Mann based on past Slater selections. My feeling is that Mann won't get selected in the 17. Maybe in the squad.

    Josh Curran Best Postion

I think Kikau will definately be at the club this season, he still has an important role to play for us. And likely will be there next year too. Anything beyond that though, I doubt. He'd be 32 in 2027, I can see him going to the UK after his current deal expires.

We won't move Burton from 6, especially on the back of his best season. Besides Crichton and Xerri are locked in as centres for the foreseeable future. And I can't see them putting Burton at lock either. In an ideal world, Sexton stays at back up. But I'm not sure he will want to. If we have...

The "Kick Off" will soon be dead

It's a stupid rule, but I don't think it will have the impact that the NRL thinks it will. 20m restarts are 7 tackle sets and we still see plenty of attacking kicks on the line. Because of the abundance of six again sets, teams are pretty desensitised to it. So i think many teams will still kick...

You're confusing risk with ability. Interesting. Signing Crichton to 850K to play a position he has never played is a big risk. Playing Averillo at centre is nowhere near as big of a risk as there is a lot less to lose, hes not on such a large contract. Signing Bronson Xerri is a risk...

I didn't say Crichtin is more risk than Perham. The backline as a WHOLE has more risk (liekly Crichton new position, Xerri back, likely Kiraz centre.) And even if Kiraz doesn't play centre, then who does? If it's Crichton, than its Taafe at fullback which is also a risk as he's never been a...

    Official Grand final Ratings

In fairness, they had another 400K stream it on 9Now so the true number would be around 3.1m.

Our salary cap situation for 2023 (According to Zero Tackle)

It's a farce how the cap isn't released at least 2 years in advance. Contacts for next season start 1 November, it's almost October and they still haven't said what the cap is. How do they expect clubs and players to properly plan?

Opinion “Prediction “ Where will our doggies finish in 22

Honestly apart from Cowboys, it was pretty spot on wasn't it!

Our front row next year is worrying.

TPJ and Thompson are on big dollars, inconsistent and unreliable; yeah they can have one belter of a game but that is then followed by constantly not in the match squad. They are definately not money well spend at this rate. Ryan Sutton is okay, he's just another plodder. He will be decent off...

Opinion Royce Hunt and Franklin Pele

Hunt would have been a good signing, but i guess with us bringing in Sutton, Pele & still having Thompson coming back (maybe) we have enough props for 2023.

Who has been our best player this season?

Best player overall has been Addo-Carr because 99% of our attacking play centres around him and Burton, plus the energy that he has brought. Best buy has been Max King, followed by Paul Vaughn. Both have played 21 games, consistent every week and I can't imagine either are on big coin. Most...

    Opinion Our Fullback

Attacking wise he has been decent enough at fullback when we are attacking in the opposition 20. His support play is non existent & It's the fullback fundamentals like catching the high ball, organising the defence etc where he seems to be struggling (which makes sense considering he went into...

    Opinion Potter Lovers

Our run home isn't easy, I think we only win 1 match against Manly and that's it. I think that one more win should be enough to avoid the spoon. Although I also think 0 wins should also be enough, as Tigers and Titans both won't win 2/3.

    Opinion Potter Lovers

The performance was due to the players just looking flat/tired more than anything. Bundaberg on a Sunday then Auckland on a Friday isn't an easy turn-around and it showed. They only piled the points on in the last 5 minutes when the gas tank was empty. I don't thin anyone was saying Potter is...
