If you're infront of the play the ball then you can't get involved with the play. They just tweaked it so you pretty much can't be involved in the kick chase now whereas before it was only really called if you made a tackle. I think that's whats changed.Did anyone like the new penalty rule?
Still don’t know how it works staying behind the kicker even if you’re not in the play.
I thought it was even if you’re not involved you’re still offside and they blow penalty. If you're infront of the play the ball then you can't get involved with the play. It’s meant to stop them walking 15m down the field before the ball is kicked I assume. Giving the receiving side more room to run and to stop the forwards getting a bludgeIf you're infront of the play the ball then you can't get involved with the play. That makes sense, finally a good change by the NRL.It’s meant to stop them walking 15m down the field before the ball is kicked I assume. Giving the receiving side more room to run and to stop the forwards getting a bludge
So no 10 meters rule now, You can only chase if you’re behind the kicker is that correct? It’s meant to stop them walking 15m down the field before the ball is kicked I assume. Giving the receiving side more room to run and to stop the forwards getting a bludge
Yeah I’m not really sure, it’s still confusing even when the commentators explained haha. This won’t last past round 10 surelySo no 10 meters rule now, You can only chase if you’re behind the kicker is that correct?
Yeah I found it weird and confusing.Yeah I’m not really sure, it’s still confusing even when the commentators explained haha. This won’t last past round 10 surely
Yep except the penalty is given from where the ball is kicked if the penalty is against the bulldogs, and only from where the fullback catches it if the penalty is against the sharks. ApparentlySo no 10 meters rule now, You can only chase if you’re behind the kicker is that correct?
If interpreted fairly. That makes sense, finally a good change by the NRL.
They're two different infringements. The Sharks chasers were Infront of the kicker, not infront of the play the ball.Yep except the penalty is given from where the ball is kicked if the penalty is against the bulldogs, and only from where the fullback catches it if the penalty is against the sharks. Apparently
Which it won't beIf interpreted fairly.
Fkn *****Which it won't be
Oh I didn’t even realise this.Yep except the penalty is given from where the ball is kicked if the penalty is against the bulldogs, and only from where the fullback catches it if the penalty is against the sharks. Apparently
Now I’m more confused lol. It’s meant to stop all the forwards standing in front of the play the ball blocking people putting pressure on the kicker. Then once the kick is done they start chasing and smashing the back.
I think only time they can be run on side is if the kicker runs past them? Then they can engage in the play again? Not sure if I made that up or not but I’m sure I heard it somewhere.
The one called against the sharks was a bit head scratching considering they kicked the ball out. But I guess a few players engaged the play?
