Our squad actually doesn’t look to bad, considering a premiership contender against a wooden spoon contender. See how things go, our young boys are a year older so should no what to expect. If we contain there go forward- mainly Paulo and Brown, and kick return meters. I don’t see much from Blake or Jennings. Moses kicking poses a threat if he’s on, but I think our bench is strong. Jacko, Elliot and Napa should provide some strong defensive pressure. Britt, Mariner to work on fatigue around the middle when they come on.

I wouldn’t like to throw Averillo into the very deep end against Fungicide, Jennings, Blake and Sivo. Crichton at least has plenty of experience and he’s not as bad a winger as some make out.

A bit more than that, trained the whole pre season at centre, ran the apposed sessions at centre and played the trials at centre. You might not see it the same, but to me it makes a whole lot more sense to replace a winger with a winger rather than shuffle the backline that you have just spent 4+ months working on their combinations.

even if you want to stick with smith at centre, there is no reason why you can't have harper on the wing, he would be a capable winger

hard to completely like the team, alot of due to the cattle being what it is but crighton just seems like he isn't cut for it and the other options have more promise.


stimson for CHN makes the pack so much more vanilla, i think we need to look at elliot to the bench and any one of renouf, RFM or even ogden to start, we just need some punch at the start. elliot is pretty meh but can play an energy type role off the bench

Lol Smith has spent for more time on the wing than at centre and is by far the better winger. Harper would've also spent time training at centre and from what we can see looks far more comfortable there than Smith at this stage.
